Attention from the hosts was brilliant! We had an initial tour upon arrival, and anything we needed, they were there to help us. The decoration and atmosphere of the place was very unexpected and amazing! It was friendly, tasteful and welcoming. The manor was quiet during our stay, so we were able to enjoy it almost for ourselves, including a long chat on the sofa after the cream tea and the swimming pool. Emma, the spa consultant, was just brilliant! Had an amazing 60 minute massage, and could have stayed for much longer! The attention to detail was amazing. Homemade cookies waiting for us in the room, and a bag with muffins for our journey back. Breakfast was just perfect. With a buffet and freshly cooked hot food to chose from, it was was an experience in itself.

It’s on a great location near St Austell for touring Cornwall as I did on daily excursions. The hotel also has lodges that cater for larger groups but I was in the main hotel. The room was very comfortable and spacious with everything you need including a fridge, good selection of teas, biscuits etc and bath robes. The view was pleasant and it would be great to enjoy the large balcony during warmer months. Breakfast was excellent.

Incredible location with stunning views. The hotel offers plenty of places for leisurely walks, which is perfect for those who enjoy nature. The staff is polite and welcoming, adding to the overall excellent experience. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful, enhancing our stay even further. Both breakfast and dinner were top-notch, with a great selection of delicious options. Additionally, the availability of parking, a spa, and a swimming pool made our stay convenient and relaxing. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway!

I'm still here so st austell has come a long way over the years it used to be a right old dump but now with the new road and the town centre it's starting to move forwards. I think it's got a lot to offer and in the future will develop into a great place.

It is difficult to pick. our visit was a celebration one, planned sometime in advance so our time was occupied with friends. We know St Austel well,it is not a town to visit, but the location of the hotel is central to many lovely places which if you were on holiday the location is perfect.

Buses to the Eden project left from the railway station which was 5minutes away. No buses to the Heligan gardens on a Sunday so had to take taxis. Great hotel next door - food was excellent and there was a Saturday cabaret which was excellent easy to get around St Austell

The location was excellent with access to the bus & train station. The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere & the staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was included in the room rate & was very good, lots of choice. We really enjoyed our evening meals at the hotel too. The meals were well presented, great sized portions & very tasty. Our bedroom was a good size with a nice big shower. The King size bed was so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The member of staff I met, I think she was called Sam, was superb, behind reception, the bar and serving breakfast. Very chatty smiley and a credit to the hotel. The room upgrade was lovely and appreciated. It was an old building and the atmosphere embraced that and it did not try to be anything it wasn't which was refreshing. Very reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels and guest houses in the area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
