This is the first time we have stayed overnight with our little cavapoo so we were thinking accommodation would not be as lovely as a non-dog friendly accommodation, but we were hugely surprised and very happy. Lovely six foot bed, white, super-clean bedding and lots of space. As it is very muddy around we were very conscious of keeping our dog clean. It would have been useful to have some sort of outdoor shower for dogs as there was no hand shower in the bathroom. There are lovely walks nearby and we will definitely come again and stay for longer.

The room was spacious and well-decorated. We has all the amenities we needed (robes, slippers, working TV, hair dryer, etc.). The hotel has plenty of activities, so take advantage! We did archery, horseback riding, went to the spa, at at the on-site restaurant, and played tennis (with rackets and balls they provided). It felt like such a genuine country-side experience and was simultaneously relaxing and activity-filled. Staff was wonderful and kind. We would absolutely return.

Friendly welcome. My room was clean and comfortable, and had all I needed for my one-night stay prior to attending an event in Chippenham. I appreciated the attention to detail, such as the little hand soap, good loo roll, good-quality towels, bathmat, and bedding. Small details but important. The full English breakfast was freshly-cooked and delicious. Helen and Simon went to great trouble to provide gluten-free bread and sausages for me, as I had mentioned on my booking form that I had an intolerance to wheat. So kind! I highly recommend this very peaceful place about 10 minutes by road from Chippenham.
