We are working in Canvey Island with the Job Centre for a few weeks over the Spring and Summer 2025 - and We loved the parking close to our room. We loved the flexibility of the chef to serve Steak in the bistro area We loved the Thursday evening reception team We liked our room temperature and the ability to be able to open a window We loved the fresh smell of our sheets and the pillow cases and the clean bathroom.

Rayleigh is a historic town with a very old church and graveyard at the bottom. The Main Street is vibrant with many cafes and restaurants. There are small independent shops as well as a lovely indoor market and M&S food hall. Near Rayleigh is a large Sainsbury’s with Petrol station. The area nearby has lots to offer, more lovely towns like Maldon and beautiful countryside and nearby estuary.

The location was perfect for us because we used to live in Rayleigh and wanted to use it as a base to visit our friends. It is near to the bus and train stations and the High St is about 20 mins away, walking. London is 45 mins to 1 hour away by train ( depending on the train you get ) and Southend a little under 30 mins. It isn’t really in a holiday location.

Angie is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as can be. She started as a stranger to me but I will now forever consider her a friend. I will definitely choose Rose garden retreat if I ever need to stay in Rayleigh again.

Perfect flat, beautiful, clean, modern and sooooo cosy. Travelled for work and was so nice to come back to this flat instead of a hotel room. A real home from home, private, safe and wonderfully comfortable. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
