Great hotel in the city center that deserves its 4 stars. You can stop in front of the hotel to unload your suitcases. Large, clean, quiet room and bathroom. Plenty of storage space and space for 2 suitcases. Super extensive breakfast that really deserves to be called a "continental breakfast" - it really had everything. There is an affordable, inexpensive parking, even for larger vehicles, with over 200 places at the train station of Chester. Chester railway station is about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. You can pay your park ticket at the counter in the station, where you can also get information about trains to Liverpool (direct connection) and Manchester. If you plan to visit Liverpool we recommend taking the train, so you don't spend time and money looking for a parking space. There are several departures per hour, travel time approx. 45 minutes. Of the places on the Welsh coast, we liked Llandudno the best. When we asked at reception, we were recommended an Indian restaurant nearby, almost opposite the hotel, and they even reserved a table for Saturday evening. It was really good. We were also able to borrow an English adapter, as our own didn't work with the laptop. Chester city centre was about 10-15 minutes away from the hotel, but not just the main road, but also the option of walking through a park and along the River Dee.

We received a warm welcome on arrival, and the room was large, immaculately clean and comfortable with tea making facilities and. fridge in the room. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The receptionist on duty directed us to the local shopping area immediately around the corner where there are a number of good restaurants. There are also plenty of parking spaces on the property. We found that the staff had lots of good recommendations about the area.

Plenty of parking, a warm and welcoming reception area, an excellent atmosphere, excellent dinner with space enough in the restaurant to be quiet, an excellent room with a comfortable mattress and topper, comfortable pillows. The breakfast was superb with a wide range of choice. The quality of the items in the cooked breakfast were very good. There is evening entertainment in the palm court on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We unfortunately weren't aware of this so we weren't able to attend. The comfortable seating in the palm court area is a lovely place to sit and relax during the day. An excellent find..!

The Hotel is defo worth a stop-over.

The Hotel is defo worth a stop-over. Whether you eat in Nelsons or The Palm Court the Food is excellent and `fits` all budgets . The Breakfast is `top-notch` and sets you up for the Day. All of the Staff seem happy, there`s a Good Morning to all, and all done with a nice smile. We`ll definitely be returning. Oh, well done to all. Looking forward to stopping over again.

A very lovely hotel set in a little Cheshire village, a jewel in the beautiful countryside. A couple of Weddings were on the weekend we visited. A fantastic venue! Visit Chester, its a great Town.

Great hotel. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Both resuarants were of a night standard. Rooms were very clean seeing as it was pet friendly. Pool was nice although dressing rooms were a bit tired. The room was possibly haunted.

Fantastic service from beginning to end. Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities - the food was amazing as were the spa facilities and the cleanliness was second to none. I have already booked again. Fabulous weekend!

Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. Smart and opulent interior with grand fireplace and decor. Bedroom was large with clean fresh en-suite. Breakfast in the Palm Court was superb freshly prepared and plentiful. Excellent hotel and restaurant staff service.

Amazing stay at Grosvenor although leisure facilities could do with a little update and more lounges. Although room, food, cleanliness and surrounding area made up for it. In my eyes this is a 5* hotel and for the price I could not knock it! Definitely be visiting again. Thank you all!
