Oliver, the bar-men/ magician is outstanding! His knowledge in comination with his hospitality is unbeatable. The hotel should be very aware of this asset! The owners are very nice, the caravan has absolutely everything you need and rather a lot of extra stuff. From every shelf or cabinet a cute character with a nice slogan peeps out at you, which will put a smile on your face. The view and the surroundings are breathtaking.

This was a superbly comfortable well located, historic and beautiful place to stay. Booking in was easy, the location is just awesome and the unit had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. It is perfectly situated for the historic sites on Skye and has all the amenities you need for a great stay.

Loved that it was out in the country in such a windy setting . In the top bedroom and was furnished to a high standard . Was a delight to stay here and hosts were extremely welcoming. The lodge was absolutely beautiful and the set meal in the evening was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Great parking as well .

Portree has a few nice bars, with friendly staff and is a pretty town, easy to cover on foot. The evening roast meal we had was tasty at the Tongadale hotel, but food elsewhere we saw served, looked lovely too. It's a great base to explore the scenic Isle of Skye and the road to it, is a great scenic drive too. It's a fab place.

Portree is a beautiful place to visit.

Portree is a beautiful place to visit. We had been to Isle of Skye which I would recommend to everyone. There are many spots to explore and it’s awesome. Even though it was October. , the weather was fabulous.

Skye is beautiful! Go!

Skye is beautiful! Go! Public Transport not to be relied upon on the weekend. Portree is a fine central spot to explore this island from. Accommodation is not cheap. Make some restaurant enquiries and eat early as there is not a lot available and many places close early. There's a good little Co'op supermarket to buy yourself something nice to cook in the hostel kitchen. A best option, get a something nice to drink and enjoy your dinner overlooking the award winner view from the hostel lounge. The Isle of Skye is like another world. At least 4 days required.

Im a bit of craghopper so the hills and the countryside were very spectacular to me. I really liked the cullins and the old man of storr was very impressive too. Portree harbour was beautiful and the chip shop was really good.

We spent 3 nights (in September).

We spent 3 nights (in September). We did the Seafari and Real Scottish Journeys tours and both were excellent. We enjoyed the casual restaurants and chatting with local people. Transportation from Somerled Square was convenient.

Great walks and hikes.

Great walks and hikes. We are an older couple and did the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr, and Scorrybraec circular loop from Portree. We also did a wildlife cruise which was fun and saw eagles, seals and dolphins. Visited historic Dunvegan castle We loved a dinner we had at the Dulce and Rose restaurant at The Bosville Hotel in Portree. There were 2 coops where we shopped for food. There was so much more to do but sadly ran out of time.

Staff are so friendly always smiling ,happy to help and very welcoming. Food downstairs in The Antlers Restaurant is lovely and helpings are good too .Right in the central square of Portree with shops ,chemist ,pubs, cafes ,coffee shops, post office local buses, tour buses ,taxis etc just right out the front door of the hotel or a few minutes walk If you. *Advise you to reserve your Dinner Table when making your booking .The restaurant is popular with Islanders and Holiday makers so it can be busy.

The host were very friendly & welcoming. Our room was small but the beds & pillows were so comfortable we slept well. The breakfast was amazing so much choice & really delicious. You could easily walk into the Portree township 5 mins, there’s lots of restaurants & hotels to choose from for dinner or lunch.. But you do need to book in advance. I would highly recommend Meadowbank guest house if staying in Portree.

What a welcome! This is not only a very nice little hotel in an an old Portree house by the sea, the owners are very nice people: you feel you are visiting friends. The room is small, but our room was facing the sea and it was more important. I also appreciated the bottle of whisky available in the corridor.

room was spacious, comfortable and clean big bed with adequate amenities. had dinner at the hotel restaurant and food was delicious. staff gave us an upgrade from cosy double room to premium room with a view of the Portree Bay - which was a lovely surprise.
