The room was beautifully fitted out and very comfortable with everything you could need including fresh milk and a cafetiere and ground coffee to make proper coffee. The breakfast was lovely too - very generous with quality ingredients.
We recommend this for an overnight stay. It was perfect as a stop on our way back home.

Staying on Poole Quay was great.
Staying on Poole Quay was great. A lovely stroll along the waterfront with views to Brownsea Island. You can take a boat trip around the Harbour, alighting at Brownsea as one of the destinations. Poole Quay has cafes, bars, good restaurants, very good fish and chips from a quayside hut. It's a short stroll to Poole Old Town with its shops and further along to main Poole Shopping Centre. Very good local transport links to Bournemouth and suburbs. Infact easy to get anywhere like Swanage, Weymouth, Salisbury etc.

A historic, well maintained town with many of the facilities you would expect to find in a modern day town.
The harbour was an attractive place to visit with many businesses there to serve visitors whilst Poole Park was well worth the visit.

It’s a lovely location.
It’s a lovely location. Lots of really nice places to eat out and plenty of good shops. We didn’t venture too far away, but I would definitely recommend a trip to Brownsea Island. We also visited Sandbanks, Wareham and Corfe Castle, all very close by.

We looked around the harbour and went on a boat trip of the harm=bour and sandbanks which was very interesting. We were due to go the the speedway but this was cancelled due to the weather which was disappointing but the speedway was really easy to find and there looked like there would be ample parking. We also spent time in Bournemouth.
We ate at the Quay café where we had breakfast it was fab

Lovely resort, lots to see and do.
Lovely resort, lots to see and do. Harbour boat trip was well worth it as was to Jurassic Coast cruise. Lots of varied mealtime opportunities as well as the usual fish and chips. Plenty of traditional pubs on offer. I highly recommend a visit to the RNLI college and All Weather Lifeboat Centre where all the lifeboats are made, you can even stay there.

Excellent location for either staying within the area or travelling to interesting places within Dorset. Great local facilities within a short walk for dining, recreation and shopping. Would recommend El Rancho and Da Vinci for food and perhaps the Poole Arms for a quiet, friendly drink. The Jurassic Coast boat trip is one not to be missed with its visit round Old Harry Rocks to Swanage. Buses provide a great service but there are plenty of parking areas available. A day trip to Kingston Lacey (National Trust) was exceptional.
Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Our room and the hotel in general was very clean and decor well maintained and comfortably and tastefully furnished. The restaurant was excellent without being pretentious. Breakfast, included in our price, was good with excellent Covid precautions in place. The location at Poole Harbour entrance could hardly be better, offering wonderful views. This is a no-fuss hotel that provides everything it says on the tin. Good value for a 4-star hotel.
Great Stay !! The 1st night was quite stormy but we barely felt the boat moving.....we enjoyed the hot tub and music on the boat every evening rain or shine. The location was great as a base for daytrips. We used both the kitchen facilities on the boat and access to the bar/restaurant in the marina and we also went into Poole 1 evening. Also had time for a cozy read in the lounge area.
Perfect for an overnight before the ferry to Jerse, wonderful room with great view over Poole Bay, fascinating to see the RNLI college. Restaurant for dinner was great with live music in the bar. Simple breakfasts. They don't allow dogs though, which is a shame as the Thistle may be shutting this hotel would be perfect, 5 mins from the ferry terminal.
We got a really warm welcome from the hosts and were made to feel at home immediately. The attention to detail in the accommodation was as good as I've seen in some top 5 star hotels. Very comfortable accommodation and perfect if you are going to spend a dew days in the Poole area. There is a private parking spot for your car.
It is a comfortable room with friendly hosts. The location is close to Poole Park so a nice place to walk is right there. There are several places to get food close at hand. It’s also not a far walk from the shopping center and high street. It was perfect for my purposes! And I loved having a tiny towel warmer in my bathroom!
it had a fresh youthful feel, the breakfast was all you could ask for, perfect stop over.
myself & daughter arrived a day early than the hotel had expected us but they made the worry of having to rebook disappear & squeezed us in.
this will be our new Poole stop over & I can’t wait to get back. thanks girls.
The best hotel I have ever stayed at was the Ritz in London, but the Canford is my second...…….. it was just amazing, fabulous room, amazing food and restaurant, staff were superb...… what a great place I loved it and didn't want to leave. Well done to Rob and the team :)

Great for one night stay
A great welcome, well equipped family room and a fantastic breakfast. Hosts very accommodating and helpful, even serving breakfast before 6:30am so we could head off early. Perfect for a stay when using the Poole ferry terminal
The meals at the hotel were excellent, generous portions and very tasty. The hotel location was on a bus route with a speedy service to Poole centre and Bournemouth. The staff were excellent, polite, professional and efficient.
Great location next to the beach on one side and views over Poole harbour on the other. Plenty of space in the guest areas on the grounf floor that are not found in more modern hotels. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Lovely clean property with parking. Nice walk along the coast to parks and Poole. Not huge but perfect for a couple and a dog. Everything provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Owner is delightful and helpful.
The view across Poole harbour from the hotel terrace is fantastic. Staff were generally excellent. Room fittings and furniture were of a high standard. Breakfast was very good.
