The Manor was everything it looked like in the advertisement and the staff were amazing. It had a lot of character and although a bit tired looking in some areas, that can be expected. The manor was located in a very quiet rural setting with beautiful grounds. The food served was of excellent quality and reasonably priced.

We were visiting family in Sunderland and mostly ate there.

We were visiting family in Sunderland and mostly ate there. We ate once - and would definitely go again - at The Half Moon pub which is about 5 minutes drive from the hotel. A very wide menu; plenty of food; lovely staff and warm and comfortable. There are a very few other venues but there is far more in Seaham itself or, of course, Sunderland. There is a lovely cafe called the North cafe on the coast just outside Seaham which is gorgeous though they need to fix the loo door locks! (We did tell them). The roads around Peterlee are new, wide and modern and it is easy to get around. Peterlee is essentially a village and we did not expect to make it our place for more than an overnight accommodation (or in our case 4 nights of a family visit). We are not a young couple and can only comment from the viewpoint of seasoned travellers in our mid-70s!

Everything we needed in a property and more. Contact with the owner was pretty much an immediate response. Nothing was a problem and the cleanliness of everything was great. Many thanks for the little gifts you left on our arrival 😊 definitely recommend this property to anyone who is staying in or near Peterlee. had a lovely 2-night seaside break at the SEASIDE SPACIOUS apartment in Peterlee. The apartment was bright, roomy, and had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It was the perfect base for exploring the coast and enjoying some peaceful downtime. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the stay was smooth from start to finish. A great spot for a short getaway — I’d definitely come back!
