The 10 minute wak to the train and bus station is fabulous. Lots of choices for day trips. T h e hotel is a n old house converted. B and B atmosphere with lots of decor items a B d cozy places to sit. No elevator so be aware if mobility issues. My single room was clean and cozy. Could be stuffy in hot weather. Oct. Was fine and 2 windows open but no screens. The single bed was a bit soft for me. But fine. The breakfast is lovely. Fruit, toast, cereal, yogurt, bakery selection meats abd cheeses. An egg station cooked to your liking, bacon, potatoes fried. Very nice staff. Polite, friendly, etc. I arrived at 9 pm in rain i am easily confused in new places.Took taxi. Taxi right there just srand by t h e sign- only 4 pounds. Easily walked. But note up hill. Need light luggage. The pub right by t h e train st ation has good food choices. Good prices. Locals come to watch games on a huge TV. Nice. A separate dining area for non sports people. Had one dinner at th e hotel. Nice service. Upscalish food choices. Tasty.

I am so glad we found this lovely little place to stay for the Easter weekend! What a gem! Beautiful cottage, in a gorgeous location, with delicious treats provided by Adele. The sea water lido on the shore, with a geothermal section was a big hit with us. We enjoyed walking along the promendate and watching the variable sea, sometimes crashing against the formidable sea wall. Our main attraction for choosing Penzance was the ferry to St Marys, Isles of Scilly, which is doable as a day trip. The ferry port is at the end of the promendate, easily accessible. There are good bus services to various destinations in the area, such as Mousehole and St Ives.

A real working town with an arty side.

A real working town with an arty side. Penlee House is worth a visit for interesting representations of the Newlyn School. A walk along the coast path, with its iconic view of St Michael's Mount, is a delight. The Morrab Gardens and Penlee Park provide a relaxing break from the bustle of the town. The train trip to St Ives is wonderfully scenic and provides further artistic treats in The Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth's sculpture garden.

Close to the main attractions like St Ives , the Lizard , Lamorna Wink . Lots of places to have a snack or just a coffee at reasonable prices . Bus service excellent , easy to use , better than the car at times as roads very narrow. We found a Pub called the The Long Boat , as OAP ,s they served a 3 course meal In the evenings for £10.95 . Soup , main ,also choice of two sweets . We enjoyed this place as clean , food lovely ,enough for a smaller appetite.at the right price ! As well as the staff .

We love Penzance as a base for our Cornish holidays.

We love Penzance as a base for our Cornish holidays. We usually have a short break there because we know it so well, but always come away wanting more. Penzance is a very handy location for easy access to all the popular destinations in that area, whilst offering a good base itself for culture, festivals, art galleries, fishing history and easy walking access to Newlyn, Mousehole and St. Michael’s Mount. And definitely worth visiting are the Turk’s Head and the Admiral Benbow, the two oldest pubs in town and both steeped in ancient Cornish history.

What a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Penzance! The apartment was very spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and everything was spotlessly clean. From the living room, you have a beautiful view of the town and the sea. There are many nice shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs nearby, and the train and bus station are a 10-minute walk away. It's also an ideal location for exploring Cornwall by public transport. Check-in and check-out were also very easy using a code and a key box.

Stayed 5 nights in early December. Smooth check in and out. Friendly, helpful, polite staff. Hotel dates from 1862 so has some character. Room was well heated, clean, tidy and spacious with the usual facilities. Excellent sea view. Well located across from the sea. 10-15 minutes walk to high street, train station and Newlyn. Some bus transport out front. Excellent breakfast available. Plenty of transport from Penzance to sights like Mousehole, Lands End, Porthcurno, St MIchael's Mount, St Ives.

We stayed for three nights at The Longboat Inn. The food was really nice, and the location is excellent — right next to Penzance Railway Station and the Harbour Bus Station, which makes it very easy to visit places like St. Michael’s Mount, Mousehole, Land’s End, Minack Theatre, and even St. Ives by bus. It’s a budget-friendly hotel with great food and free breakfast, which is a big plus. Other than that, it’s a good stay overall — comfortable, convenient, and great value for the location.
