Lovely little B&B. Perfect for our first night in Scotland. Decent parking, keyless entry, and restaurant right there. It was absolutely perfect. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and our little guy loved his little cot. Cold breakfast items were already provided in the room for us upon arrival for the next morning. All in all, a great stay! Thank you! 💕

I loved staying in such a historical place and sadly I was not able to explore the grounds that much as it was raining a bit. The room service was amazing and the breakfast options are superb. I was also struggling to book some taxis for some events I would have and I asked the staff before my check in and in less than 1 hour I received the confirmation of the rides and they were super on time.

It had everything we needed, felt really homely and cosy, and considering we booked it quite spontaneously earlier that week, we couldn’t believe our luck. We received a very warm welcome and had all our questions answered. Staff offered recommendations for places to eat but we ended up having dinner there which was lovely. Our room was quiet and comfortable, we had an early night and a lie in with absolutely no issues. Breakfast was good; tasty and hot. After check out we drove into Edinburgh city centre for a little bit of a wander and some shopping, it took us 30 minutes to get right into the centre so that was perfect. Really great value for money.

In 1 word: everything. In many words: Easy to find, received pics before hand explaining where to park, where to find the key. That was super easy. There are little frames with a few simple rules to follow. There is also a folder (blue if i remember right) on the windowsill near the door with information about what is near and about, take out etc. I mention it because i only saw it when we were leaving. Oh well... Kitchen has quite a good amount of things for cooking. Washing machine very good, rack for drying clothes. More than enough towels for all of us. Owner passed by to drop off things for the baby, such a sweet lady, so helpful. Shower was lovely. Beds are really comfortable, i slept like a baby. Well not my baby, he still wakes up a few times during the night, but i slept like a baby who sleeps well, if that exists. Will be sure to be back if i am ever passing by that place again.

As many reviewers mentioned, truly unique. For us up with a longhouse in Sarawak and timber cabin in Alaska. Host were excellent, brief introductory tour and then on our own. Wife found stone circular stairs a challenge but our hosts had provided a plentiful selection of food. Covered both evening meal and breakfast.

Wonderful location and historic building ..room was clean bed comfortable..we had onion rings for starter and steak for dinner with a lovely red wine 🍷 delicious dinner ..Arrived early The concierge/host Joe greeted us got us a drink and had our room ready ,he was dressed v well ,professional and friendly, this property is fortunate to have a staff member like this ,Kat was also very nice and helpful ,could not fault the service, grounds and ambience..thank you.
