We loved the daily cookie and lemonade delivered to our room every afternoon. They also consistently remembered my spouse’s vegan diet at the continental breakfast, ensuring a delightful start to each day. Excellent breakfast, tables to small for comfort. Seats uncomfortable. Double room has only one chair! Hotel is dated and tired. It is ideally situated for beach walks. Drinks are expensive but the food was excellent. Sunday lunch was lovely. Very hard to find a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view.

North Berwick is fantastic in nice weather, because of the beach (Yellowcraig to the west, or the quieter East Beach), the views of Bass Rock and other islands in the Firth of Forth, and the access to coastal walks. There are many nice coffee shops (we liked JP Deli) and restaurants (No 12 Hotel & Bistro was our favourite), and a good variety of shops, where you can buy groceries, clothing, gifts, art, kitchenware, etc. The Seabird Centre is a nice spot for coffee and sea-views. Depending on the weather conditions you can book boat trips to Bass Rock, Craigleith Island and/or the Isle of May. However, in wet or very windy weather one is really more limited, especially out-with the main shopping hours. There is a museum/library that opens from late mornings through the afternoon. Tantallon Castle is about 2.5 miles east of the town and is definitely worth a visit. Archerfield Walled Garden is good for lunch/gifts; and the Tyninghame Smithy is a lovely lunch stop on the John Muir Way (though it is often very busy).

Lovely little place with many quirky little shops and overlooked Lodge Grounds, which is a huge park-like space for walking, admiring gage aviary and many beautiful planted areas, and has a children’s play area. Most people head straight for the beach, but other attractions such as the museum and Seabird Centre, Berwick Law and sports centre, all well worth a visit. Parking can be a problem, but at the moment there is a free car park at the end of the High Street.

A lovely well kept seaside town with nice range of independent shops and eating places. Wonderful walks on the beaches with superb views out to the Bass Rock, Fidra etc. Beautiful flowers everywhere including at the pretty little station. Good transport links to Edinburgh.

North Berwick is an adorable seaside town with beautiful scenic views and an amazing golf course. We enjoyed the quaint shops and restaurants as well as hiking the law. Getting around was so simple. We walked everywhere and found it so easy to go back and forth to our accommodations. One word of caution, most places stop serving dinner by 8:00pm. Wonderful place to visit!

Beautiful beaches. Great shops, restaurants and cafes. People were very friendly. Great boat trips to Isle of May, Bass Rock to see the amazing birds and wildlife. There was nothing we didn't like!

Lovely cosy property in a great location to enjoy the town and beach within a 5 minute walk. So comfortable, spacious and well equipped with all that you would need. Frank is a great host who is very responsive and thoughtful to guests. A perfect property for our family trip away. No problem with parking - plenty on street availability and there are car parks within walking distance if preferred. We have enjoyed many breaks in North Berwick and are glad to have found this one for our future trips.

The hotel had wonderful views and we had a lovely room with a sea view which was full of character. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice with pots of tea and coffee. The Spa facilities were excellent and we enjoyed the putting area. We arrived a little early, however, we were given an early check in which was an added bonus.
