Little Hawthorns is an absolutely delightful annex which ,at the time of my stay, was bright and airy and cozy on my return in the evening. Everything you could hope for was available and in the fridge was milk, butter and fresh local eggs. Fresh sourdough bread, a variety of teas and a cafeteria and coffee and in the bathroom, although compact it was beautifully set out and the shower was perfect.

So many things, and it was little touches also, like a slow close toilet seat, divider in the bin for general and recycling, a massive tv and a beautiful tub, I'm only sorry we didn't get to enjoy it for that long as we had quite a late arrival and we were heading to an activity early the next day but we had dinner and breakfast there and it was gorgeous.

This hotel was beyond amazing for a short family stay with 2 young kids. Room was spacious and very clean, restaurant/pub food was so tasty for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff were exceptional. Really child-friendly place but would cater to anyone.

Friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. Hands down the best bed we’ve had over the last month of traveling. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, ceilings were high and we had a balcony. Had dinner in the restaurant- absolutely delicious on par with the fabulous breakfast included with our stay. But our true highlight was the fabulous staff because without them it would have only been brilliant not spectacular brilliant .

It was beautifully located, steam railway station within walking distance, the town 5 minute walk away, Winchester 12 miles away. The locals were very friendly and the house and the town were spotless.

Situated in Ropely just outside New Alresford but easy to get to . nice little town plenty of places to eat, and the heretige line railway station was good to visit.. not far from more major attractions and easy roads to get there.

Attractive, friendly little town. Variety of restaurants and eateries to suit most pockets - some excellent venues. Market Thursdays Some lovely walks by the river. Watercress Line good value and fun!

Great location for walking, shopping,cafes/ pubs( independents).Watercress Line , two golf courses close by( Alresford & Avington) plus tennis courts( need to book ). Winchester close by to explore too.

We went for a lovely walk along the river.Areas to sit and enjoy the countryside.Everyone was friendly and said hello when passing . Visited coffee shop 1,good and the tea room Tiffins was excellent.Excellent evening meal at the Swan hotel.Wonderful buildings to see and visit.Lots more we could have done but didn't have the time.

We visited New Alresford as we were going on the Watercress...

We visited New Alresford as we were going on the Watercress Line for the Christmas Illuminations experience. The town itself is small but beautiful and we enjoyed a little stroll around despite the fact that Covid restrictions are in place.

The house was spotlessly clean. It is well equipped. There were thoughtful touches and basic supplies on arrival. Our host, Jen, kept us well informed, especially when my arrival plans changed. The house is located close to the centre of New Alresford and convenient for nearby attractions such as Jane Austen's House, the Watercress Line and Grange Opera Festival. What we liked most was that it felt like a well-loved family home rather than soulless holiday accommodation. Recommended.

Superb location, and very well equipped home. Met by the owner who was very helpful, and one of the most accommodating hosts we have encountered. Fully fitted kitchen with plentiful supplies. Home in a quiet cul de sac with a beautiful garden within easy walking distance of the delightful village of New Alresford.

A comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very pleasant and well equipped, we had a restful nights sleep. The breakfast is excellent and a great way to start the day. The whole experience was as great and I will certainly return. Thank you.

Staff was super friendly. The hotel is gorgeous and super clean. Perfect location if you are going to catch the watercress line. So convenient and we found parking easily behind the hotel.
