Exceptional place to stay. We had a warm welcome, really great helpful staff. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. We has such a fantastic time, and wonderful comfortable bed, very relaxing. Everything was high quality including our breakfast ( lovely bright breakfast room with super views). Easily one of the best (actually, probably the best!) Place we ever stayed. Highly recommended, many thanks

We have visited Inverness three times now, but this was our first stay in Nairn. The beach is very welcoming with plenty of space to walk, run, play and enjoy the views; this is the kind of beach I would visit and walk along every day if I lived there. Located close nearby are various historical places to visit (Cawdor Castle, Culloden, Clava Cairns) and Inverness is not far away. Not being much of a "city person" I love to wake up to views and fresh air -- and Nairn offers places like the Invernairne Hotel that enable you to do that and still visit so much nearby.

Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness.
Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness. The beach was lovely to stroll along, as was the canal. Lots of restaurants dotted around town. An amazing ice cream shop located in park near the beach is worth seeking out. The architecture of some areas was stunning old Edwardian homes, really enjoyed wandering around the streets looking at them.

Charming town. I recommend visiting the Nairn Museum first.
Charming town. I recommend visiting the Nairn Museum first. Their volunteers are helpful and have first hand knowledge of the history of the town. I recommend having a car to travel to sites around Nairn that are too far to walk.

Nairn is a very nice town except for the High St which like most in Scotland is suffering at present. However nice to remember the old shops closed now Mackays grocer, Rose Brothers, Gauls toy shop Heards Morgantis to name a few, Nice to see Pat Fraser is still there. Recommend the Classroom at the top of the High Street to eat. Very easy to walk around and nice walks at the river.
We loved our night at the golf view hotel, it has fantastic leisure facilities with a great outdoor hot tub and beautiful views from the pool. The room was super comfortable and really enjoyed the selection of teas especially the roobios and rhubarb. The steak meal was exceptional and the restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing. The breakfast is freshly prepared and has a fantastic selection, the smoked haddock and poached eggs where really good.
Nairn itself was very nice with a lovely sea walk right from the hotel.
A lovely guest house/hotel which was much larger than anticipated with excellent friendly service. Superb location with lots of parking, a very pretty garden with a pathway straight down to the beach, with a lovely walk straight into the lovely town of Nairn within a few minutes. The communal rooms were really excellent - the lovely light dining room (with fantastic breakfast) was an amazing contrast to the beautifully wood panelled lounge and bar area. Lovely sea views from both rooms.
The Highland breakfast is delicious, I would highly recommend you try it. Chris and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. Its a lovely hotel and they are so friendly it felt more like staying with friends than staying at a hotel. We would definitely stay there again.
I love this place! It’s the best accommodation I’ve stayed in North Scotland for the price (and honestly quite a lot better than most more expensive places). Really clean, comfortable, thoughtful accommodation, close to the beach and with EVERYTHING you need to really feel at home. Hosts are really helpful, accommodating and responsive.
Location of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was extremely good and included a vegetarian option. It was served by two waiters and one waitress each morning who were professional, friendly and very helpful. A credit to the hotel. All the staff we encountered were in fact very friendly. We hope to return.
The flat is very comfortable and is in a wonderful location. We went to nearby Inverness by car.I could do laundry and make meals for my kids which is quite helpful when traveling. My children enjoyed the comforts of home and watching DVDs. The hosts do think of the needs of travellers and that's refreshing.
Everything was perfect. So much thought & warmth from Sharon & Greg on design and decor. They gave me lots of information on local area too.
The north east coast of Scotland is so beautiful & tranquil and still have convenience of lots of tourist attractions, restaurants and lovely boutique shops.
I stay here upon every trip home to Scotland. I joke to my friends I go for the breakfast but truthfully it’s the peace and quiet being in the Macmillan suite enjoying the scenery outside come rain or shine. I look forward to being there again in 2 weeks time.
Gorgeous hotel with a lovely view of water and garden. Very nice bar and breakfast room with great drink choices and a nice breakfast. Very clean hotel and a friendly helpful staff. Room was nice looking and comfortable. Loved the walk down the beach.
We loved the grounds of the hotel and also how peaceful it was. The room in the stable block was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent.
The breakfast was cooked to order every morning, served with fresh coffee and your choice of juice and yogurt. Honestly, some of the best bacon I have ever had was served at this hotel. It was a lovely way to start each morning.
Beautifully clean and nicely equipped accommodation with hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast basket comprised of delicious freshly baked bread and fruit. Location for Nairn was perfect.
Iain and his family hosted us in what is one of the most wonderful hotels we staid at in Scotland. It only has a couple of rooms so we felt very lucky being able to stay there for a few nights.
The breakfast was wonderful with fresh ingredients and glorious coffee which was probably the best in Scotland. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
