The hostess was wonderful when I took refuge at Craigadam after problems with two B&Bs in Dumfries. My room had a comfortable four poster bed, and a lounge area with a sofa - all very spacious. Breakfast was beautiful with lots of choice. The smoked salmon prepared at Craigadam was amazing. You can order dinner in advance. Three courses and the food was stunning. Fresh ingredients and a menu that changes daily. A beautiful garden around my idea of a country house, complete with billiard room. It's set on a farm in beautiful rolling countryside. From a New Zealand perspective, this was phenomenal value for money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely large bedroom with original vibe however modern bathroom. Very comfortable bed, luxury towels. Dinner was delicious.

communication was excellent, the owners friendly and the hospitality top notch. The cottage itself is stunning, old and modernised without losing its beauty. The cottage was larger than we thought, the second lounge was brilliant for the teenagers gaming.Parking was no problem for 2 cars. I can not rate Ivy Bank enough, absolutely stunning.

The Garden Studio is a wonderful place to stay, very...

The Garden Studio is a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and Kate & Ian made us feel very welcome. Stunning garden with breathtaking views. Moniaive is a small village with a big heart. It was 40 years since l last visited and very little has changed. Only shop in village is well stocked and people were very friendly. There is an Italian restaurant and a Hotel which serves food. Book ahead.
