Everything, breakfast was good, room big and warm. Gym maybe a bit dated but still fantastic and met our needs. Water pressure in the room is the best I have seen at a hotel. Breakfast got cancelled on 2 mornings, but we had advance warning from the property, money taken off and made alternative plans. Not really a negative, it just goes to show that the property can effectively communicate with the customers when they are unable to provide some of the services.

FAQs about hotels in Milton Keynes

A Hub of Entertainment

Best known for its concrete cows and legendary roundabout system, Milton Keynes is just off the M1 motorway linking Birmingham and London. Its proximity to the latter triggered its development from village to new town in the 1960s.

Milton Keynes Village still exists, between tranquil Ouzel Valley Park and Willen Lake with its peace pagoda and watersports. Next door, Gulliver’s Land children’s theme park is bordered by the Grand Union Canal, whose banks have cycle and footpaths.

In the town centre is the aptly named MK Hub, an entertainment core near the train station. In addition to accommodation, bars and restaurants, it houses the huge Xscape complex, comprising the Airkix Indoor Skydiving centre, cinemas, and the UK’s largest indoor ski slope. Nearby are the shops of Centre: MK and Midsummer Place.

On the town’s outskirts is the National Bowl entertainment venue, and Bletchley Park, where the German Enigma code was cracked during World War II. To the east Woburn Abbey has a large safari park, while north-west is Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing F1 team are based in Milton Keynes, and the MK Dons are the local football team. The Open University is also headquartered here.

Of the many Milton Keynes hotels, apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com, most have parking and some have swimming pools.

I came for a meeting and mainly enjoyed meeting friends.

I came for a meeting and mainly enjoyed meeting friends. In view of the weather forecasts for high winds and heavy rain I did not stay long enough to enjoy the City's varied attractions this time. In the event the weather was not at all bad, but I was glad that friends gave me lifts, as the City is very much designed around the car and the public transport is not good outside the City centre. On previous visits I have enjoyed visits to Milton Keynes Museum, with very attractive and interesting exhibitions and surrounding parkland, and to fascinating exhibitions at Milton Keynes Gallery.

CANNOT FAULT THE STAFF THEY WERE VERY GOOD, HOWEVER MY ROOM ALLOCATED WAS NOT UP TO SCRATCH, BLOOD ON SHOWER CURTAIN! HOUSE KEEPER DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, TAPS IN BATHROOM WOULD NOT TURN ON OR OFF WITHOUT A STRUGGLE MANAGEMENT DID NOTHING TO RESOLVE ANYTHING. HAD TO HAVE SOME ONE TO FIX TAPS. The city has extensive green spaces, which are easily accessible via the Red Routes for pedestrians and cyclists. I enjoyed a walk with friends from a friend's house just outside the City through the nearby woodland. However the city is very much designed around the car and the bus service is poor. As a non-driver, this means I have to rely on lifts from freinds or taxis. At the moment the whole square in front of the railway station has been dug up, making the railway station very difficult to reach on foot, but I understand that it is due to be re-opened shortly with a new floor mural. It is pleasant to walk around the tree-lined boulevards in the city centre, although it is designed around car access, so it can be difficult to access buildings like the shopping centre on foot. I have enjoyed visiting the MK Museum and the MK Gallery previously, but I didn't have time this weekend.

MK central offers so much variety in such a short distance all within 5minutes or less to the Central Train station. The shopping arcades have a great mix of shops and restaurants to appeal to everyone and Xscape is another close entertainment area that provides activities and bars/restaurants in 1 convenient mall. The e-scooters & e-bikes make a superb alternative to Ubers or driving and the road system is very simple & well planned out.

I can not express how grateful I am for the service I received. It is a spotlessly clean house with everything you need for a short stay. I loved the living room most, exceptional place to chill out after a busy day. Separate thanks for biscuits and fruits. I stay in this place every time I come to Milton Keynes and highly recommend to other travellers

The Moxy Hotel location is very central. It is easy walking distance from the railway station at Milton Keynes. 10 to 15 minutes walking time on average. The hotel is clean with good facilities. The Moxy appears to cater mainly for business people. The bedroom was comfortable and quiet. The ensuite shower was very powerful, with a walk-in shower. The hotel is ideally located for eating at various restaurants which are very nearby.

The hotel is in a good location for travelling and for getting into Milton Keynes. The room was large and well prepared for me. Staff were helpful even though I arrived late. Breakfast was great. Someone made me coffee when the machine broke down. And one of the staff helped me carry all my packages to the car. Check out is 12 which meant I had time to do stuff in the morning. The communal areas of the hotel are lovely.
