I fell totally in love with this house. It’s like staying in an Agatha Christie coastal house from the 1930s - without the murders. Gorgeous sea views from our room. Sumptuous house seeped in history. Lovely morning stroll to the beach directly from the hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful. The food great. We only stayed a night but this is the kind of place you could check into a week, even on your own, to escape the world. Lovely touches like a short story print out by the bed. Our first impression was the cleanliness of all the amenities were, compliments to your host cleaner. The cottage has been designed to the highest of standards with the surroundings perfect for a stroll for us older generation. Our son who arranged this is a seasoned self catering family as they have a dog, we have not done so in 40years. Even local pub ( Gun In ) outside facilities were quiet. We did try to leave the premises in a tidy condition and had no mishaps, we only prepared breakfasts as we dined out every evening as it was our wedding anniversary. When our son was very young was when we last self catered in the Barton/Highcliffe area. We have already recommended your facilities

Flat just what we needed while waiting for our dog to have op at southen counties vets at ringwood flat not easy to find needed to be told to look behind the shops shower turned from warm to very hot with out anyone touching any water taps also watch tv it's got a line across the middle loved our stay parking not easy parked in road as had LG car thanks for a good stay will recommend

We've visited Milford many times.

We've visited Milford many times. There are a few lovely little spots like Keyhaven harbour, Hurst Castle and the walk out along the spit and our favourite little cafe, the Needles Eye. Great bus service into Lymington if you don't fancy driving, or if you are mobile there is the most lovely flat walk around the Solent estuary between Milford and Lymington. Wonderful wildlife to be seen.

This was a lovely, friendly small seaside village- with lots of walking and stops for tea drinking and cake eating! It had a very special community feel to the the village and I would have loved to have stayed a few more days to explore the surrounding villages too. We wanted to visit Hurst castle, but due to the weather it was not possible- so we will be back in the future. We ate and drank in the Smugglers Inn and Needles cafe- both were excellent quality and value for money. The friendliness and service in everywhere we visited was lovely- we felt very welcomed. This was my Turkish husband's first trip to the english seaside and he didn't want to leave!

Milford on Sea is a lovely place.

Milford on Sea is a lovely place. There is a lovely village green in the centre of the village, which is certain worth a visit. There are some lovely shops, cafes and restaurants in Milford on Sea. There is a short walk to the beach and promenade, which is worth a visit. The views across the Solent across to the Needles are fantastic. There is a super walk along the promenade and cliff top footpath. There is excellent car parking on the seafront and the sea is always worth a good swim. Just delightful.

Friendly helpful people, lots of shops selling local produce...

Friendly helpful people, lots of shops selling local produce. Plenty of parking in all beach car parks. Vibrant village green and a wealth of eating places, pubs and bars . Would recommend a visit to Hurst Castle and the beach cafe. You can walk to the castle or take the ferry. All are well signposted.

Beautiful place to visit.

Beautiful place to visit. Not far from other places to visit, eg New Forest, Christchurch, Lymington etc. Very clean and beautiful views, including Isle of Wight etc. Plenty of parking places and a path near the sea front for you to walk along. Good for people with dogs, or who have a mobility scooter. If you are going for a swim, it's a good idea to wear something on your feet as it's difficult to get out with the pebbles on the beach and the current is also strong!

We loved our up grade room 5 it was Large with large sea...

We loved our up grade room 5 it was Large with large sea views and it had a copper bath in the room .The only down side because it is a very old Building and we were not able to open many of the windows , and it was a very hot day . But there was a fan in the room which was a help.

our room was the same one we had on our honeymoon which we didn't expect but was nice to be back in there after 4 years. the room is excellent big bath and bathroom and bedroom great views. breakfast was great as was dinner great service friendly staff and it was nice to see Lancelot the cat again cant believe he is 20 years old, we have found our little place to go and have a short break in Milford on sea and the beach house just makes it that more Special thank you.

Cabin was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Everything we needed was provided - all we had to bring was our own towels. Milk, juice and even shortbread was provided - a lovely treat. As adults we didn't explore the facilities as we expected them to be very busy during half term, however we used the site as a base to explore the New Forest, which we love, and Milford on Sea.

The location was ideal for what we required as we visiting relations in Milford on Sea. The parking permit is a lovely idea as it means you are not looking for the machine and change and can be used in various location a in the New Forest.The flat is very comfortable and well set out.Would book again when we come again.

Shorefield Country Park is perfect for visiting the New Forest, the coastline of Hampshire & Dorset. There is walking access from Shorefield to the cliff top walk into Milford on Sea village and beach front. The site is quiet, neat and tidy and well maintained.
