Breakfast was wonderful. Graeme was very welcoming and informative. Very keen to ensure our comfort. Extras for sale eg chocolate, fizzy drinks, all on honesty box basis. Slippers provided. Enjoyed meeting his friendly black labrador.

Fantastic living pods and the barbecue pod is Excellent. We met one of the owner he's a true gentleman highly educated and a well travel person, who you also can have a good crack with. We would definitely stay there again. Best place we stayed while in Scotland 10/10 well deserved 👏

We loved our brief stay at Burnside cottage. Close to the ferry at Gills Bay for the next morning. Kacey was so welcoming & the food amongst the best we sampled throughout our stay in Scotland! Even when my daughter left her favourite toy behind, Kacey posted it on to us! Thoughtful & great customer service.

lovely place, very nice host and the most wonderful real down duvet and pillows - a real luxury! Breakfast was excellent and the animals on the farm were super cute.

The proprietors Euan & Emma were excellent company and very attentive to guests' needs. The hotel had an excellent menu with accompanying wines, beers, spirits, if required. The hotel also had an extensive range of locally-produced spirits. The accommodation was excellent and well-equipped. The only down-side was the lack of TV reception - although being without TV was somewhat of a blessing!

This place is a little gem. If you want a spiritual retreat full of candles and incense in a quiet location, then this is for you. With no Wi-Fi, this is a place to come and escape. And not one touristy picture of a Highland cow to be seen - what a joy! The owner Fred, is a breath of fresh air. Loved the spacious rooms and very comfy king size bed. The property is just across the road from the footpath to Loch Mey with its bird hide. Great for birdwatchers.

We had such a warm welcome at this hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean. The decor is beautiful. The friendly staff treated us as though they were personally welcoming us into their home. Breakfast was freshly cooked and was everything we could have wanted. We even had little highland cow hot water bottles on our bed. This hotel is a definite YES and we'd certainly stay again.

The house was perfect, very well equipped, and very comfortable. It has everything you need. Situated in a quiet location with stunning views, including Castle of Mey, Orkney, and Dunnets Head. We also enjoyed the beaches and coastal walks. It's an ideal location for a relaxing holiday. The house is just a short drive to John O Groats and Thurso.

Had a lovely stay at the Mey Hotel on the first night of our NC500 road trip. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Walk around the grounds was very pleasant and we enjoyed the Tunnocks tea cake and wafer 😊

Breakfast was the perfect full Scottish, loved it! Great location for Castle of Mey and Duncansby Head, both of which we enjoyed immensely. Nearby Mey Hotel provided a superb evening meal to compliment Graeme and Eileen’s excellent accommodation.
