Sara and Dave are the perfect hosts! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel soooooooo welcome and at home in their beautiful house. The room had the best of both worlds—sea views on one side and peaceful countryside on the other. It was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a very British charm. I especially loved the creative touches in the en suite, all designed by Sara herself. The room also had all the little comforts—fresh bottled water, a kettle with teas, fresh milk—and daily housekeeping kept everything spotless. Breakfast was a real highlight each day. We enjoyed it in the dining room overlooking the garden—sometimes with the sun streaming in, other times with the rain softly tapping on the windows. Everything was freshly prepared: the daily fruit salad, Sara’s homemade granola (absolutely to die for!), plus cheese, hams, fresh bread, and proper coffee or tea. The presentation was so thoughtful—we truly felt spoiled. And the soft 80s music in the background made it even more relaxing, giving us memories of our teenage. On top of all that, Sara and Dave went above and beyond to recommend places to visit, which turned out to be some of the best memories of our trip in that part of Cornwall. Parking was also no problem at all—they have a dedicated space for guests, which was such peace of mind after a day out, knowing we would always have a space to park. We ate twice at the very old pub in Mevagissey (easy to park nearby in a car park - we were too tired to go down the hill and up again after a day out walking and discovering) and also enjoyed a super lovely meal in Charlestown at a place Sara and Dave found for us as I wanted to eat oysters. Do not hesitate to book - you won't be disappointed for sure! We will return Sara and Dave ... we miss you! xxx

Perfectly restored monumental house. Tastefully decorated. One of the most beautifull places we’ve ever stayed. The location is ideal, in the center of the historic harbor. Both our elder children (17, 20), the younger one (9) and grandma (84) enjoyed the pittoresque village Mevagissy: nice walks over the hills (not too complicated), daily fishing trips available, ferry to the next village and some nice family pubs and shops in walking distance.

The top of Mevagissey is not suitable for someone with mobility problems unless using a car to get around. The village is very steep but very quaint. Care needs to be taken when walking round the village. The streets are narrow, very few pavements and traffic. Lovely harbour front.

We love this little village and it's Cornish traditional feel. There are a mix of shops for gifts and clothes, including some really individual pieces. The cafes and pubs are excellent and the people are so welcoming. Great car park which is a level walk in to the village and harbour.

As well as enjoying the pretty harbour town of Mevagissey it’s a great place to stay if you want to visit other places around Cornwall. It’s only an hours drive to get to the north coast. Mevagissey has lots of places to eat and enjoy evenings in the restaurants and pubs. Everyone was very friendly wherever we went.

It is a working dockyard and very authentic. Plenty of choices to eat and drink. Just be careful if driving. I would recommend that you take up the option to park on the outskirt, and walk the very short journey in to the centre.

The cottage is situated in a great location within Mevagissey, close to the harbour. Very spacious rooms within the cottage, comfortable beds, lots of games which our 5 year old loved, outdoor courtyard with seating area and a sun parasol, wifi, lovely new carpets upstairs, well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Thoughtful gift of Cornish shortbread and milk in the fridge on our arrival. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Mike, the owner, visited on the first evening to ensure that we were happy and to answer questions, which he did. The house is excellent with three en-suite bedrooms and a big kitchen. Close to St Austell for shopping. Mevagissey is a lovely harbour village with numerous places to eat. The hill is steep but then that is true of most seaside locations in Cornwall! A super week.

Perfect apartment in a perfect location. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with great advice on places to visit and recommendations on where to eat. The attention to detail was exquisite and there were more treats than you would find in a five star hotel. We would highly recommend Seagulls to anybody wanting to explore that peaceful oasis in Cornwall.
