I ended up here by chance… my flight got canceled and all the hotels at Gatwick and surroundings were fully booked so I found this one on booking and arrived very late at night. The hotel was stunning, the bed extremely comfortable and Thomas at the reception made my day! When I woke up the next day I found up I had slept in the middle of a golf club lol I had breakfast on a sunny terrace and walked around the little forest. I wish I play golf so I could go back here! Simply amazing, peaceful and beautiful place!

It was perfect, a very beautifull and british property, very clean and comfortable with great price. The guy who recieved us was very nice and special, he recived us with great hospitality, he was very helpfull, always asked if anything is needee and also helped us with booking a taxi. A totally recommended

Because of a plane arriving much later into Gatwick than planned , I arrived at the hotel after closing hours . I had already contacted them to say that there was this possibility but it was not a problem and they advised me that the key would be in the door of my booked room .much appreciated after a long journey.

We arrived rather late in the midst of a rain storm and were famished. Even though we had no restaurant reservation and the restaurant was presumably booked, the staff was able to accommodate us and seat us right away for a delicious dinner. The dining room is lovely and quiet - quite a contrast to noisy London restaurants. We inquired about a tour of the historic common areas and our request was graciously granted. After seeing the charming common areas - some with roaring fires in the various fireplaces - we were sorry that we had not arrived at the Manor earlier in the day, as it would have been nice to have sat in one of those inviting areas with a good book and a glass of wine rather than being out sightseeing in the rain. Our room was spacious - including the enormous bathroom -and was spotless. We were thankful to have a good-sized dresser available to store clothes in addition to the closet space. The bed was very comfortable. Our room overlooked a lovely water feature with lots of interesting birds. The following morning we got a much better look at the exterior of the historic property. We are both architecture buffs and were quite impressed. We have resolved to return during our next visit to England and possibly even stay here and commute into London to see the sights rather than stay in London to do such things.

The property was warm and comfortable however the flooring...

The property was warm and comfortable however the flooring was damaged and a trip hazard in some places. There was no mat at the front door either on the inside or the outside causing mess to be brought in. The car access to the property was via an unmade drive and the walk was across an unmade, stone / mud path until you made it to the paving slabs.
