The venue was perfect distance for visiting the Pavillion theatre on a dark winter night. The sea view was lovely from my window. I enjoyed my breakfast of cereal, juice & perfectly cooked scrambled egg. The venue was comfortable with lots of lovely personal touches of seascape type art work and artefacts. It was peaceful and quiet. There were leaflets available and a street map which is always helpful for tourists. The hotelier was friendly and kept checking that my needs were met.

I can’t state enough how helpful and accommodating the staff were towards myself my wife and our dog. From the moment we arrived we were made at home. I hadn’t been here for about 25 years and it hasn’t changed a bit and that’s just what I hoped. We will def be back and a great spot for a stopover en route the Jurassic coast.

So we only stayed here for the one night but we had some trouble with trains getting to Weymouth and the staff were so lovely and helpful about the whole situation and had someone stay and let us in, they really went above and beyond. The room was lovely, the information booklet packed full of info about the local area and the place is located right in the middle of town and about 5 mins walk from the train station. Not to mention the building itself is packed full of history. Honestly for the price I cannot recommend the place enough, lovely hotel with brilliant staff, you'd be a fool not to stay here.

This is actually Weymouth!

This is actually Weymouth! It's a really delightful seaside town with loads going for it in the summer and a good friendly place with some great pubs and eateries even in winter. I ate at The George, the food scored well for both quality and quantity. The evening I ate there had live music which was enjoyable. This was in the winter.

A thoroughly enjoyable visit to the theatre.

A thoroughly enjoyable visit to the theatre. Loved visiting the quirky shops and charity shops. Reasonably priced lunch at a choice of Wetherspoons! Interesting discovery of Nothe Fort with Remembrance service thrown in which is an annual event. Next time in warmer weather will visit the gardens next to the Fort and definitely have a boat trip in the summer.

The area was exceptionally clean, the views from the Guest house were perfect. It was easy to get round and the quaint shops were a 5 minute walk away and the pubs and eateries were also very close and mostly on the harbour edge, we had snacks and cocktails by the harbour

Melcombe Regis is really Weymouth.

Melcombe Regis is really Weymouth. It's at the quieter end of Weymouth Beach, but only a few minutes walk from all the amenities and attractions of the town. As a beach holiday destination with kids on board, it would be hard to beat.
