Can't comment in detail as we only used the hotel as a base to travel out from each day for a family event so were not able to fully utilise all facilities, but from the little we saw of the hotel it was a wonderful place to stay.
Situated between Maidstone and Sevenoaks, this Holiday Inn offers air conditioned rooms, a pool and a gym. There is easy access to the M25 and M26 motorways.

The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Maidstone this weekend is £72 or, for a 4-star hotel, £194. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Maidstone for this weekend cost on average around £2,076 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
I have made several trips to the Great Danes Hotel.
I have made several trips to the Great Danes Hotel. There have been some improvements to some bedrooms ie the carpets and bedroom fittings, (Floor 1 )but it is obvious that there is a way to go, as some rooms look dated and in need of refurbishment. (my room floor 2) as well as the reception and restaurant area. Some outside areas to the fabric of the hotel also needed repairs. eg rear rainwater downpipe missing and concrete steps to meeting room needed attention)
As I am the owner of several holiday properties my eye is more critical than most, but the intention of my suggestions is to help build on positive visitor experience.

Maidstone is very varied with large houses on one side and Estate type property not too far from shopping centre.
A variety of shops to meet all the needs of the family. Leeds castle is a great attraction for all.
Locals seem friendly, on our walk through the town people stopped to say good morning.
Uber eats enabled us to go and eat in town or order into the hotel we stayed.

Staff friendliness, comfort of room and quality of breakfast all what we would expect. Noise from revellers at front continued too long - as it was so hot we couldn't shut the window. Ideal location for getting about in this part of Kent.

Rooms spacious , clean, twin room had large double comfortable beds. however could have done with a bit of decorating. Bed very comfortable. and spacious rooms. The bathroom although a good size was a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernisations. We came for my friends birthday specifically to use the spa and get treatments and although we went to the health centre the treatments /spa company which the hotel has outsourced treatments to, didnt call us back until the following day when we were due to check out. a The beer garden was nice and spacious and the garden area / grounds at the back was lovely but could have done with some benches s/ chairs to sit out there. You breakfasts was one of the best we've had. lots to chose from and well made and stocked at all times.

Reception staff showed no acknowledgement we were standing waiting to be attended to.
The swimming pool, changing rooms, showers and some public areas require serious refurbishment or reduce the price of the rooms !

The apartment was so clean and such a nice aesthetic.
My partner and I visited Maidstone for a date night evening and the location is so central to Maidstone east station and the town centre. Communication with hosts were superb.
The small garden patio area is a nice touch and will be coming back throughout the year. Definitely a home away from home.
We didn’t get a chance to use the kitchen but definitely plan to on our return.
The host left us some toiletries and towels which was a cute touch.
An unexpected gem of a place right in the centre of Maidstone. The owners have done a magnificent job of restoring this lovely old property to its former glory. The room are HUGE. Everything is spotlessly clean. There are large and comfortable common areas to work, relax and eat. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe - the owners live in the back of the property. There for you if you need help but otherwise you are left to enjoy the place in privacy. Excellent place.
Friendly, unpretentious hotel, with spacious rooms, good food and lovely staff. We enjoyed the pool. This was a great stop-off place on our way into the UK from the continent.
This house is lovely - great space, comfortable beds and a real welcoming feel about the place. Very well located to Maidstone town centre and perfect for our weekend plans
