We loved our amazing drive from Kendal, up through the Yorkshire Dale's. To then arrive at The Blue Bell Inn in Kettlewell was so special. It's a truly beautiful place. The Inn is so gorgeous. Its warm and open fireplace was just what we needed. Geoff greeted us as soon as we walked through the front door. He showed us to our warm, comfortable, and clean room. He served us drinks and dinner, and said a friendly goodnight when we got sleepy and went to bed. We had some fun conversations with him. The shower was lovely, as was our bed, such a good night sleep. In the morning, we were greeted by Gail, another lovely person who served us a fantastic breakfast, had another great conversation, and all too soon we were saying our goodbyes, and were leaving this picturesque village up high in the hills. It's just wonderful all-around. We would very much love to come back and spend longer.

It was a great layout for 8 of us (4 couples in an extended family group). The kitchen dining area was great and the location in a lovely village with many pubs was fantastic for popping out and also it was easy to go for gentle walks from the property. 3 bathroom/shower rooms (one en suite) were lovely. Overall the house had the fees of someone’s holiday home that they let out and so get very welcoming.

Beautiful and charming little spot! Cannot fault it - the pub is stunning and the rooms are separate, located just behind the pub. Room was spacious and well decorated and had all the amenities you could need. Nespresso machine and plenty of biscuits were a lovely touch!

The location was great right in the middle of Grassington , the staff were amazing special mention to Maisy who went out of her way to keep our fussy eating grandson happy , also the lady didn't get her name who served our breakfast was so friendly and helpful, lovely open coal fire great this time of year , we had a meal at night and the food was really good , breakfast was also very good , we were in room 14 which is a family room which is 3rd floor and bottom of corridor which had its bonus of being really quite which also has very comfortable beds , the shower was large and had good pressure and good heat controls and really nice soft towels ,Would I stop here again no brainer a definite yes

Richard and Vicky seem to have thought of everything in this hi spec renovated property..clean, cosy, comfortable, fantastic village location where you can walk into the dales-they even provide the OS map to encourage exploration! Everything works as it should and we enjoyed complimentary crumpets and beautiful roses to look at even at this time of year. Thank you guys, your passion for this property and community is clearly evident.

Lynne and four-legged sweet Clara gave me a very warm and hearty welcome to her stunning house in midst of the beautiful mountain chains of the Wharfedale, and right at the Dales Way, the perfect base for hikes or just for relaxation, for example in the beautiful guest living room with an warming fireplace! Bed was comfy, breakfast was delicious and Lynne even gave me a lift to the Blue Bell Inn in Kettlewell, because the nearby pub Buck Inn was closed and she drove me back again after dinner. I would highly recommend it to stay there, it was a lovely experience.

Beautiful village with 3 pubs.

Beautiful village with 3 pubs. The best restaurant is by far the Blue Bell. Also, do check out the Fox & Hounds in Starbotton and the Buck Inn in Buckden. Both are also excellent pub restaurants. Watch out for Tyson the bull when walking by the river! He turned out to be perfectly benign but still gave us a startle!

It's a classic Yorkshire village: clean, quiet, unassuming,...

It's a classic Yorkshire village: clean, quiet, unassuming, 'pure Yorkshire', beautiful, the sound of running water as it nestles in the dale watched by the hills and cliffs. The church is worth visiting too. All in all, a gem.

Beautiful dales village with pleasant walks on your door...

Beautiful dales village with pleasant walks on your door step, the village has three pubs all offering accommodation and food. Perfect base to tour the dales with the majority of must see locations within a 40 minute drive along some of the most scenic roads and country lanes in Yorkshire.

Kettle well gets too touristy on a weekend but midweek is idyllic, really friendly village, plenty of parking in village,2other pubs if you fancy a change (bring your own flannel though as bluebell doesn't provide them and village shop is a bit sparce,owner of shop lovely though,worth going in just to chat to him

Kettlewell is a small village but boasts three pubs and is an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales! For walkers, I would recommend a stroll to Grassington and a short car ride to Malham offers spectacular walking opportunities!

Kettlewell is a pretty village ideally situated for walking in Wharfdale. It was quiet when we visited but, given its popularity for walkers, it is worth booking a hotel with parking as part of the deal.

Kettlewell is a little jewel in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. The Racehorses is an old traditional pub in a stunning location. The surrounding scenery is some of the most beautiful in Yorkshire. The staff were friendly and the very traditional bar areas offered a cosy relaxing atmosphere. A decent selection of drinks were available and enjoyed. Just outside the hotel the river Wharfe runs through a stunning valley with some great walks. The room was comfortable and quiet.

Location is amazing. Right in the centre of Kettlewell with a couple of fab pubs only a few minutes walk away, yet has numerous walks from the door. We were given a parking permit so could use the car park across the road for free. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was everything you could want. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you Michael for a fab stay.

Very friendly welcome from the host. Beautifully furnished cottage, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. Location is very convenient for exploring Wharfedale and for access to cafés/pubs/village stores in Kettlewell.
