What wasn't there to like. The hosts Jamie and his partner were absolute treasures, made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in the door and looked after my 90yr old mum perfectly. The room was stunning (The Stamp Room). It was like your own private 2bed apartment, though all in one room and one level. The rooms were beautifully decorated and kept in context with an old post office. Fridge, tea/coffee/biscuits, water all available. Breakfast was not available, but we were given the best advice where to eat and with a small discount with staying at The Old Post Office was given. Dinner at the Red Lion and Jamie escorted us over to the pub, shouting us a drink and then left us to our dinner which was superb and very filling with good portions. So convenient for visiting attractions locally, Lovely old antique shop right next door. Can't recommend, highly enough. Definitely stay again. Parking convenient 2 min walk away.

My wife had just lost her mum to heart failure so I thought a nice quiet break away would help the pain, but sadly we were not made aware of any musical functions other than the spa or golf facilities. I had requested a top floor room which was given but I also requested by phone a quiet and peaceful area ,however, our first night was great but the second was filled with a loud musical tribute act and management only offered a room change without guaranteed quiet, this we found not acceptable and they would not even offer a refund for the following mornings breakfasts that we didn’t have .Returned home very unhappy and upset that the original plan became a nightmare.

We have been visiting Hythe for years but first time we have stayed It is easy to get around with nice walks beside the canal and around the golf course. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from . We like truly Scrumptious for morning coffee. Pubs vary in style and the two we visited in Hythe had widely different costs. Needless to say we will not be returning to the Hope Inn as £6.80 for a lager is to my mind extortion, sorry. We wish we were a young couple , maybe in mind but not in ages, we have been married over 50 years . We ate in the Indian Ocean restaurant and nice cafe can’t remember the name. Good bus service so went to Folkestone one day and drove to Dover castle on another. So lots to do in and around

We llve Hythe, it is quite a typically English resort, it is very quaint but with enough shops to keep us women happy, also a lot of history too, good for the people interested in it.......................We aate in the hotel and found the food to be very tasty. As Hythe is small it is easy for those that find it difficult to walk around.

Everything was just right . As always the Breakfast was extremely good ,with a wide choice and very pleasant staff. Our room and bathroom were spacious . Personally I find Hythe is quite unique, especially as it is a town on the south coast. There are various walks either side of the Military Canal which is just a few minutes away. We have used the bus to go to Folkstone ,give your car a rest ! PS. The ladies Powder Room is very charming . The whole Hotel is very elegant , you will not forget the Glistening Stairwell Lighting.!!

Excellent location over looking beach. 10 minutes walk to town centre. Plenty of parking at front on hotel in street and hotel car park at rear. Staff friendly. Handy on-site bar. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Bedroom appeared recently decorated. Asked for a triple room for 3 adults and got a double room with separate single upstairs bedroom, which was a bonus. For pet lovers - this hotel caters for dogs. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.

Lovely location and, as we stayed on a Monday, it was very quiet. The staff at check in were lovely, very helpful and chatty. The room was a decent size for our family of 4, tea/coffee making facilities in the room also very welcome! Only 10mins east drive to the Channel Tunnel. Hythe is a lovely village with lots of great places to eat (we highly recommend the Thai restaurant on the high street about a 3min stroll from the hotel).

A relaxing stay in Hythe this was not. Having booked this property a while ago when it was newly listed, there was a nice set of photos showing the kitchen but no reviews. Lets start with the (small) list of pros: - the property was clean with new looking carpets - the kitchen and bathroom have been done up nicely Sadly that is where the positivity ends.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable room and situated in a great location. The staff were very helpful, the facilities were just what was required and the hotel benefits from a small car park that makes a difference in such a central location.
