The staff were excellent from arriving to leaving. The room was well appointed, ample parking, great food and in a quiet out of the way location. There is no lift however staff assisted with carrying the suitcases upstairs.

Lovely spot is Holmfirth.

Lovely spot is Holmfirth. Great selection of arts & crafts, good food, great pubs, and one of the best music venues there is! The Picturedrome. Also worth a visit is the "Last of The Summer Wine Exhibition" and "Compo's house tour". Top eateries include Ten Fourteen, The Tap House Bar & Bistro, Lou & Joes Burger Company, Harvey's Bar & Kitchen, to name a few not forgetting some fantastic coffee shops too like the Cheese Shop Deli & Bistro, Ribbles, the Archive and Grahams all serving grew brews, hot food and CAKES!

We were staying in Honley just a few miles from Holmfirth. Lovely place ,friendly locals . Great for dog walking . Beautiful scenery ,local walks around Honley were good . Taylor’s food store was amazing ,good quality food and great choice . Very hardworking staff too

Everything close together, didn't have to walk far to be...

Everything close together, didn't have to walk far to be where you wanted to be. People are really friendly and we got to know some locals. Most people there love dogs and will stop you, so they can say hello to your dog. Beautiful buildings and trees everywhere. Loads of places to eat and drink. We loved the wrinkled stocking cafe, breakfast was amazing! The Holmfirth Tavern have food offers on a Monday and Wednesday, we had the steak for £10 each which was lovely. Holmfirth coffee shop, (near the Co-Op) lovely food, coffee and cakes! We met a local called Ken in there, he was such a lovely man and we bumped into him a few times afterwards in the town. The Archive, also did great coffees. Market on a Thursday in the Co-op car park and sells fresh fruit, only on in the morning though, we got there too late. Of course if you like Last of the Summer Wine, there are places to visit such as Sid's cafe, (right in the centre of town) Nora Batty's steps up to her cottage, the museum just under the Wrinkled stocking cafe, (check opening times on the door).

Holmfirth is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing long weekend away for rest and recuperation. The centre of Holmfirth is a pleasant 25 minute walk from the Pickled Pheasant, with exceptional views of the beautiful countryside.

We chose to stay in Holmfirth as we have family in the area.

We chose to stay in Holmfirth as we have family in the area. There are lots of eating and drinking places, the Co-op is great for food and there's a riverside walk if the pavements get too busy. There's a wide variety of places to drive to, the Peak District is on the doorstep, but you could also catch a bus to Wakefield or Meadow Hall for a day's shopping.

The rooms were comfy, spacious, modern but still had the barn feeling with open rafters... The view was spectacular. Gently woken up by the sound of a sheep bleating in the field. Feels remote but Holmfirth is 5 mins away in a taxi. Breakfast - we chose full english of course! Individually made for us.
