The whole experience form checking in, delicious evening snacks with a drink in the outdoor beer garden, helpful and friendly staff, great cooked breakfast right through checking out was a fantastic experience. Room was spacious and clean. Surrounding walks were lovely too.

Very good breakfast (English or continental), spacious room with large and confortable bed and beautiful bathroom. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good location, near to Belper. The Indian meals served in the pub are very good too: we arrived late but have a table and very good dinner.

The location was extremely convenient and more than everything we wanted to thank the wonderful staff to make our stay a memorable one! We were there for one night on our way elsewhere to celebrate our anniversary. We were welcomed warmly and with amazing lovely surprises that made us feel extremely special .. Very welcoming staff who went out of the way to make our stay very comfortable . Excellent breakfast, We stayed for one evening meal only and it was excellent. The gardens are beautiful. We are not golfers, but the golfing fraternity were very pleasant indeed. The location was very good for us as we have family living nearby too.

Had a 1 night stay in which we had an evening meal which was excellent in every way,the room was very clean and comfortable with no noise from the bar below,breakfast was excellent like the evening meal and the staff and new owners were first class in making us feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble to make our stay a memorable one.we would definitely stay again and wish the new owners all the best in their new venture👍🙂🙂lee and christine
