It's hard to put into words how great it was for us. We arrived early and we were welcomed with a mince pie and a smile! The room was ready so we didn't have to wait and were led by Stephanie to the Deluxe double stargazer room which was on the top floor as requested! But not recommended if you aren't able to climb 2ish flights of stairs. We found the room clean and well stocked with tea, coffee milk etc. The view was absolutely amazing! The bathroom was luxurious and clean and there was enough storage for our luggage. We had had some bad news and explained we were close to cancelling but decided it would do us good. We had told Stephanie this and he was very understanding and after a few minutes of being in the room a lovely gentleman had brought us a card and a lovely gesture to cheer us up! It worked. And thank you again for doing that. We wandered into the village after freshening up and went to several establishments. The morning after arriving we went and sat in the conservatory overlooking the gardens and river at the bottom beautiful! I had the farm house platter and my wife had poached eggs on toast both presented and tasted excellent. We had fresh pastries each also excellent. The morning after I had the same breakfast and my wife had the smoked salmon on scrambled eggs plenty of tea, coffee, juice pastries, cereal etc. We have a chargeable electric hybrid car and were able to charge at no extra cost, (as at time of writing). All in all it was the most relaxing stay, the hotel was delightful, the staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome without being intrusive whilst on your stay. Every member of staff was so warm and friendly, in fact it was the perfect choice for us ,even being able to stroll down the river at the bottom of the garden was an added extra as you're surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.

We love Grasmere it's so quaint and intimate love the choice of shops got quite a bit of Christmas shopping done. Enjoyed a few drinks in the Tap Room and a couple of lovely evening meals in The White Swan. Needed our head torch to shine a light no decent lighting when on foot.

Only here for 1 night this time which is way too short. Staff always very polite and helpful. Excellent menu, warm, clean, comfy bedroom. The pool and sauna make it for me. Cant wait till my next visit! Thank you all at the Inn at Grasmere.

Grasmere is the heart of the lakes. We love it there.

Grasmere is the heart of the lakes. We love it there. Plenty of walks nearby and gorgeous scenery. The bus service is excellent, approximately every half an hour. Also lovely cafes and a few bars. When the weather is good, there is nowhere nicer….

Lovely place to stay perfect location for pubs restaurants and walks . Our room was lovely and cosy the staff were friendly and helpful giving us tips on where to go and what to do while we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast . Can’t wait to stay again.

Grasmere is a lovely little village with lots of character...

Grasmere is a lovely little village with lots of character and quaint local shops. If you are in to jigsaws it's the place to go! The jigsaw shop is an experience not to be missed. There is a wide choice of eating options and the food was consistently good wherever we ate. We particularly enjoyed the pub food options.

I've been visiting Grasmere for many years.

I've been visiting Grasmere for many years. It's a beautiful village but is is sad too see so many premises vacant and some of the old buildings derelict. some of the Hotels have closed as well.

We love the Bridge House Hotel. Its perfectly positioned for walking the fells around Grasmere valley and walking to the nearest pubs for food and drinks. Driving further afield. We love the laid back approach. Helping ourselves to coffees and scones, chef cooks bespoke breakfasts right in front of you, staff are so helpful but never overbearing. Rooms are warm and beds are huge and so comfortable. No dogs allowed too, so it is perfect for us.

Lovely hotel in the popular village of Grasmere. Guests included couples and small groups but maybe not a hotel for young children. Ideally situated for walkers looking to spend a day or two in the fells and for the less adventurous wanting to explore the area at a lower level and at a more leisurely pace.

Fabulous location, as is so close to Grasmere village and right next to the lake. The hotel had a nice vibe and good spa facilities. The room was great with a balconette overlooking the lake with a very comfortable bed. The food was also very nice. We had dinner once and lunch twice during our stay.
