Absolutely loved the place - my room was superb - comfortable, super luxurious, and exactly what I needed for a good night's sleep after spending the entire afternoon walking along the promenade and then through the gorgeous little town of Grange-over-Sands. The hotel is ideally situated for a trip to the magnificent Lake District which is where I headed to early the next morning. A beautifully enduring experience that I will long cherish - the hotel is a magnificent base from which to explore the many gorgeous small villages dotted along the Lake District.

The view was INCREDIBLE. My husband was speechless when he saw it. Our room was gorgeous & really convenient for drinks, dinner & breakfast. One of the barmen was the smiliest, happiest person I’ve met. Walking along the promenade will always be a special memory for us.

We had stayed at Bay Villa before but not for 6 or 7 years ad were delighted to find that it was as good as ever. The room (Estuary) was spacious and bright, with a huge comfortable bed. There was ample room in the little dressing area for all our belongings, and the shower was fantastic. We also appreciated the drinks and snacks, and breakfasts on both days were excellent.

The host met us when we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly. She offered advice about the area showed us around the room, including a few extra goodies that we probably would not have noticed that she not pointed them out. The room was immaculately clean, very quiet, the bed was amazingly comfortable and we got the best nights sleep we’ve had for several nights. The location was superb, the area around was totally charming inviting to walk around. Easy access to several different dining possibilities, and there was a Tesco express almost next-door. were very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

A lovely, peaceful town with friendly locals, nice pubs, and great walks nearby. In the town itself, we didn’t find many places where our dog could be off-lead, but there are some nice shops to explore. We stayed at the Grange Hotel — a lovely, dog-friendly hotel with a gorgeous interior and a massive room. On our first night, we arrived late and got a takeaway from Grange Charcoal Grill, which we wouldn’t recommend. On the second night, we ate at The Commodore Inn: my partner’s dish was lovely, but my pizza was overdone. We had breakfast at Tide Café, which was lovely and highly recommended. Everything is in walking distance. Definitley take a walk up to Hampsfell Hospice - you can find the route from Grange on the web - easy to follow.

It's a lovely seaside village.

It's a lovely seaside village. Its old and similar to others it's not designed for modern traffic. Beyond that it's a busy little place with interests everywhere, walking, nature, food architecture.

We enjoyed the stay at Haven holiday park but the private caravan was shocking, dirty, dusty, carpets filthy, oven dirty with used crockery still in there , no towels at all , bedding thrown on beds inside out & couldn’t really tell if they had been washed , no tv remote so our two small grandchildren couldn’t watch tv , we tried to contact the owner a number of times but he didn’t answer so can assume he didn’t care, this was the last van available on our dates , I had read the bad reviews & took the chance not expecting it to be has bad as it is , I feel Haven should not allow this caravan to be let

Has a nice period 'feel'.

Has a nice period 'feel'. Lots of one-off shops and very few national chain stores. Quite hilly, which could be challenging in slippery conditions. The promenade provides an excellent, uncluttered walk along the marshy coastline, particularly in good weather. Lots of great, family-run restaurants and 'eating pubs'. Provides a civilised alternative to the popular holiday resorts.

Description of room when booking was not reflective of the reality, garden view turned out to be a brick wall. Customer service was poor. Given false information re restaurant (told closed when still open for another hour). Deputy manager promised to get back to us with answers to our complaints, never did. Told manager would contact us, also to discuss complaints, and she hasn’t. Only after several attempts to contact the manager did we get told by receptionist to contact booking.com (not easy). Unsatisfactory experience all round meaning we would never stay again or even recommend to anyone else

The people at Grange over Sands appear to make an effort to keep the town clean and tidy. It has a lovely park and flower displays in various locations. The people also seem very friendly. The mile long promenade is nice to walk along and the planting alongside is well managed.

Loved the hotel. So beautiful. Stunning setting too. The staff were lovely too. Really helpful and happy to help. Slept fab. I was in the one and only single room. I expected it to be really small but there was plenty of room and a wonderful bath too with Elemis products which I love. What’s not to love. Thank you Netherwood. I will be back for sure 🙏

Lovely hotel, room was nice,clean and had a big tv with lots of stuff on eg. Netflix, Amazon Prime. Staff were all friendly. Had a lovely swim in the pool and relaxed in the jazzui. Breakfast was lovely, had lots of options. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
