A wonderful place, tastefully renovated property with bonus Highland Coos. Our rooms were upgraded and we really appreciated having washing facilities two weeks into our road trip. Excellent three course dinner and breakfast on lovely dining area. I would highly recommend.

Excellent localization, just one step from the seafront, great equipment (kettle, microwave, heater and even hot water bottle waiting in the bed, lovely! :)) Absolute adorable host!!! Rachel is very nice and charming woman, taking care of the comfort of her guests. There are some snacks and tea/coffee waiting for you in the room. I wish I could have time to stay longer than only one night.

The owner, Helen, ist extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful view to the des Form the very comfortable room, immediately at the beach, lovely breakfast. We saw dolphins and one seal and osprey - big recommendation . Very nice restaurant: Crofters immediately there, wonderful hikes at the des and up a nice river.

What a beautiful part of Scotland!

What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

Not the best Closures due to Covid

Not the best Closures due to Covid Main road noisy and polluted Restaurant noisy opposite Fortress Harbour nice and around Cathedral but otherwise not the best Too far to walk to Canonry Point but by car you face parking charges Not our first visit but last in Fortrose Post Office sells lovely gifts

Fortrose is a beautiful village with historic buildings and the main attraction is the opportunity to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point. There are pubs and restaurants as well as the beach at Rosemarkie within walking distance of the village.

Fortrose is a charming and peaceful town situated by the sea. Spotting dolphins, seals, the numerous seabirds that fly to and fro, relaxing on the beach, searching for shells and stones... it's a feast for the eyes and ears. The surrounding hills are also wonderful for walking. It's also an ideal base for exploring some beautiful spots: Rosmarkie, Avoch, and Crommarty.

Everything. The beds and bedding, towels are gorgeous, fluffy and washed like you would at home. Not that harsh starch stiff hotel stuff ive experienced. Breakfast was delicious Steven and fiona are amazing hosts. We would come again and stay here longer Loved watching the birds fight for seeds in the morning Perfect duvet light and warn Shower is a beast Wonderful place , thank u guys c

We loved the location and the house was maintained to a high standard. The hosts were very gracious making sure we had a lovely time. There is a lovely bakery in the town just 5 mins drive away. We also got to see the dolphins do their dance from the famous view point also very close. For commute I will recommend to use the Church street via Fortrose town instead of taking the Knockmuir.

There was a perfect house for my family of 5 people including my little girl, we’ve experienced two wonderful nights staying at Fortrose. The house located very close to the Chanonry Point. It’s very tidy and clean inside, and you almost can find anything you need here. I highly recommend staying here if you intend to pass this area!
