We were upgraded to a double from 2 single beds at no extra charge and no fuss. Manager was very helpful and showed us a lovely clean room with great clean bathroom. Entire place was spotless. The location was excellent. The attached Chinese restaurant was one of the best I've ever eaten in and I've eaten in many.

Small compact town, but with a few options for food places, gift shops and a short walk to go in search of the loch ness monster. Or you can watch boats navigate the locks right in the middle of town. Town in the evening was nice and calm and first thing in the morning also. By midday it was pretty busy with day trippers so keep that in mind

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.

Beautiful scenery. Brilliant trips on the Loch Ness Cruises. Plenty of places to visit. Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, gift shops. Fascinating watching the boats going up and down the series of locks. It certainly was not a disappointment.

The local pubs are excellent for food and drink and the Loch...

The local pubs are excellent for food and drink and the Loch boat tour (Cruise Loch Ness) is a must. Gorgeous little city, great for a 2 or 3 night stay. DelightfulNess is great for lunch and the Lock Inn does a brilliant dinner.

Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness.

Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Our accommodation was not on the main road, so we hardly noticed the other tourists. Great place for day touring to all four directions as we did.

Fort Augustus definately worth a visit although gets very busy with tourists. We appreciated slightly quieter places with less people around. There are a few places to eat out and would recommend the Chinese food at the Richmond House Hotel where we were staying. A couple of pubs too which are right on the canal and providing a welcome rest

Beautiful building. Very good location. Very clean and comfortable. Met on arrival by Fernando. Showed us around the building, a bottle of wine and biscuits were at the apartment as a gift from Highland club. The leisure facilities at Highland club are very good, nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Highland Club is right on the southern shore of Loch Ness, amazing views. Several good restaurants and pubs Fort Augustus.

The property was excellent, no staff, all self service, get code sent for door & room, great view from window over the Fort Augustus bridge, location perfect, right on Caledonian Canal in village centre, 10 minutes walk down to Loch Ness, good Pubs, good food, perfect location, great facilities and very clean. Beautiful location in the heart of Fort Augustus, a short walk to a fabulous Loch Ness viewing point. with our rooms overlooking the canalway lock system. Rooms themselves had everything we needed with lovely clean bathrooms and powerful walk-in showers. Very accommodating host.
