Our host, Gary, greeted us warmly and gave us an introduction to the property and where to access additional information. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast delivered in a hamper each morning was delicious and generous. My dairy free diet was thoughtfully considered. The in room coffee and tea was excellent. Parking at the door was very helpful.

The property was full of character with its very steep staircases, uneven floors and wooden beams. It was beautifully clean and warm. On entering the property we were greeted by a lovely Christmas tree twinkling away and the cuff lovely cosy little living room. It made us feel very festive. The mince pies, crisps & milk, were a nice touch and received gratefully and the beds were so comfy. All three of us slept really well; my sister, my best friend and I.

I'm not sure if it was because we walked around Fakenham on a Sunday but we found it very disappointing, nothing to see or do. I personally wouldn't recommend it. We did only stay for one night.

Great centre for discovering the North Norfolk Coast.

Great centre for discovering the North Norfolk Coast. Must see is Wells next the sea with lovely harbour and shops and also sample the crab sandwiches at the Crab Hut - Brancaster Staithes Harbour - the best.

A small market town which is a good centre for visiting...

A small market town which is a good centre for visiting north Norfolk. A good market on a Thursday. Plenty of shops. In the town though there are not many restaurants or independent pubs. There are, however, some on the outskirts.

Fakenham is a market town which sadly seems to be struggling...

Fakenham is a market town which sadly seems to be struggling at the moment. It is generally quiet and people seem friendly. It needs some investment as it does have potential to be a lovely place to stay. Good centre to travel around Norfolk to explore the lovely area around.

We discovered Checkers, a country pub in Binham about 10 miles from Fakenham. The food was excellent and the hosts were very personable and fun! The Christmas Spectacular in Thursford was just that!!!

Fakenham is a good location for the coast but the town...

Fakenham is a good location for the coast but the town itself is small with only a few places to eat and drink and a small cinema, but pretty quite. Nice chalk stream with footpath right next to cottage. Nice pub a short walk out of town too, in next hamlet, near a common

Very clean and dust free. The area around is quiet! It's better than a hotel. Facilities were well catered for, including free milk and diet coke in the fridge. There are plenty of sockets to use for charging in the rooms. Everything was tidied after we left the room for the day! Free parking space. Excellent ordered and cooked breakfast every morning. The fruit salad was delicious, and so was every other item that we had as it was all fresh!

The accommodation was very clean, well furnished and well presented, in a quiet but central area. Fakenham is an excellent point from which to explore north and central Norfolk, with many interesting places in any direction. Fakenham is not a destination in itself, but does have all the necessary services and facilities for holiday needs.

The Location was ideal for what we required and only a short walk to Fakenham which was a bonus. The host responded to all my queries quickly and gave excellent instructions on the heating. Keys were easily accessible using a key safe. We were concerned about the parking but needn’t have as there was plenty available.
