A lovely wee place to visit.

A lovely wee place to visit. We stayed so we could visit the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies but many come for the outdoor activities. Plenty of coffee shops and bars. The Thursday night Pipe Band is brilliant.

Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach...

Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach of the trossachs! The village has independent shops for food and provisions plus a very good pub! There's a lovely path immediately opposite the Buchanon Arms approx 200m leading to a viewing area with benches to look out on the trossachs!

Our trip to the lodge was disappointing as we had no heating or hot water and WiFi kept dropping . Looking at other reviews this looks like unresolved issues and had I checked previous reviews would not have booked The owner offer to provide us refund for above but has we have not received

At first glance we knew that the Winnock Hotel was going to be OK. Reception was the first port of call and this proved to be easy with a great receptionist who was both informative and very friendly. The bedroom was light and airy that gave off an air of peace and tranquillity and the bar and breakfast rooms were very much the same albeit decorated in a traditional country manner. A good nights rest complimented by very friendly staff left us saying 'we will have to come back'....

I was greeted at the door by Jane with a smile and shown through the house. My room was warm, spacious and super comfy. After an afternoon snooze, I popped out to the Drymen Inn for a huge, tasty hamburger and went back to my room as full as I could be. I slept like a log and almost didn't make it to breakfast. Jane's menu was stunning and I had a massive tasty breakfast and some lovely banter in the brekkie room before heading out for my day. I'll go back there again certainly!

Excellent 2 night stay at the Drymen Inn, myself and my wife had a lovely time. Food was great, room was ideal and the bar was brilliant. Staff were top drawer for the duration of our stay and their eagerness to help with anything we required was refreshing.

We only stayed the one night on our way to Skye, we really liked it here and the garden room was perfect for us. Breakfast was at the nearby Drymen Inn, where we also ate the night before, and can definitely recommend that too.
