What a gem of a place St Nicholas House (and garden) is. A stylish (but unpretentious) home operating as a B&B; excellent food; huge bedroom & bathroom & the hosts were very friendly & gracious.

This is a working farm and quiet, peaceful surroundings. The friendly welcome that made me feel as if I was a family friend. Very comfortable shepherds hut with clean toilet and shower facilities nearby. Also, a long drop dunny close to the huts if needed. The huts are well equipped, and even a log burner for cold nights. I am looking forward to my next visit and would certainly recommend a visit. I'd recommend using microwave meals if choosing to eat in the huts. The bed is very comfortable.

I could happily have stayed in the bar the whole weekend. So cosy and comfortable and the decor was sublime, helped with tasteful xmas decs. Just lovely. Would go again just for the bar. Fantastic central location minutes walk from the theatre and shopping centre. Free parking. Peterborough itself is not worth a visit apart from the cathedral, unless you're a shopaholic.

Happy helpful staff-- great attitude of all staff from top down---wish i was staying longer!! Room was SO QUIET--Lots of monitored parking--breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL--And lots of it--best stay in UK in our 3 weeks over from NZ--Thank you to all the staff there for making our stay so worry free and memorable--would DEFINITELY highly recommend this place for your journey--Peterborough is not far away so h=great location for tourists and travellers!

The whole experience was perfect. Location few blocks from town centre. Breakfast vast choice of food. Bed comfortable. Room size was perfect with private bathroom all very tidy and clean.

Crowland is a small friendly town.

Crowland is a small friendly town. It has two small supermarkets, a bakery, a fish and chip shop and several restaurants/takeaways. It has a few shops selling non food items. The Trinity bridge in the centre of the town is worth a look. The Abbey is spectacular and the volunteers in the adjoining parish church are knowledgeable and helpful about the history of it. The library is well resourced.

Not a touristy place.

Not a touristy place. The Abbey church and ruins are worth a visit and we had a good Sunday lunch at Ye Old Abbey but booking essential. The Deepings nature reserve and lakes are great for walking and the river Welland is lovely.
