Veronica and Colin were very welcoming the accommodation was excellent and due to unforseen changes in our travel plans we had to leave in the early hours of the morning which meant us missing breakfast but Veronica and Colin gave us a packed lunch to take away with us. I would most definitely recommend Craigbank Guest house to anyone and we would certainly stop there again Ian

After a long journey on the West Highland Way, arriving here felt like coming home. This is truly the most beautiful place I have ever stayed – an incredibly stunning house, a gorgeous room, and the kindest people. Also breakfast was simply perfect. John is the perfect host. Whenever I think the Scottish people can’t surprise me more with their kindness. I am overwhelmed again. When we arrived our luggage was already in our room. There were amazing homemade cookies in the room to have with tea/hot chocolate /coffee. He offered me ice for my injured feet. The beds are very comfortable. The place is beautiful and feels warm and welcoming. Breakfast is freshly cooked by John that encourages you to try as many options as you want. There is a variety of vegan options and the jams are homemade as well. We loved it.

A very central location for exploring Scotland's Southern...

A very central location for exploring Scotland's Southern Highlands - easy to take in Loch Lomond , Loch Awe and Oban area and get up to GlenCoe from here. Lovely scenery on the doorstep and convenient local shops . The Real Food Cafe a few miles to the nortth at Tyndrum offers amazing food all day in a cozy atmosphere.

Small town, cute corner store with nice staff.

Small town, cute corner store with nice staff. Best western hotel had a nice lounge and good breakfast options. Nothing to do in the town, definitely just a pit stop, would skip it if ever hiking the west highland way again.

Crianlarich is a wee village in the heart of the southern...

Crianlarich is a wee village in the heart of the southern highlands, ideally placed for hiking, especially if you are climbing Munros -- there must be 30 or more within 40 miles, and about 4 you can climb right from the village. It is very easily accessed by train and bus, although having a car gives you a lot more options. There is one small shop that seems to sell everything! Places you can visit easily from Crianlarich include Falls of Dochart, Loch Tay, Glen Lochay, Glen Lyon, Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Glen Orchy, Glen Etive.

The village is small with one shop.

The village is small with one shop. The local pub serves good food. The problem I encountered was to do with the misleading mileage on the West Highland Way from Rowardennan. It was actually 22 miles and over half of it over very rocky/muddy paths alongside Loch Lomond. Getting to and staying at Crianlarich was a nice relief

Beautiful area, close to many Lochs, Glens, mountains and rivers. Many natural places of interest within short driving distance. Great place for walkers and adventurers. The lovely quaint village has various eateries, a supermarket store The Green Welly and petrol station.

The Location had amazing views. Easy access to all the walks and close to pub and restaurants. Dog friendly B&B. Plenty of free parking. The B&B was clean and tidy. The breakfast was quality, and we were offered vegetarian sausage as an option, the poached egg was the best. Our dogs were getting muddy from the walks, Silvia the owner offered us towels for the dogs and allowed us to wash the dogs outside. The host were very friendly and had no issues to assist us.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and an ideal base for exploring the surrounding Highlands. Lovely breakfast and great dinner menu. On Easter Day, an Easter egg was left outside the room - a very kind gesture that made my stay!
