The cottage was perfect in every way. Set in a valley with stunning views this 17th Century cottage was worth every penny for my wife and my two girls. At night you could hear a pin drop. The cottage has a quirky charm and has old ships timbers as flooring with good size rooms, a master bedroom (very comfortable), and a good size bathroom. Sam and his wife are lovely and gave solid tips about the area. I loved this half-term break.

It was an awesome experience with nature. Liked the cat visiting us and trying to be friendly with us. Peacocks visting us in the morning, lama, goats, sheeps, dogs ..we really felt the inner peace and we got what we wanted. It was neat and clean too. What else do u want? We really liked the place.

We really liked the place. Highly recommended especially for the country lovers. We ate at The Blue Lion in Cynwyd and had one of the best burgers I have ever ate. It is quite easy to go around Corwen and to reach other places especially in the North of Wales.

We have just had a really memorable long weekend at the...

We have just had a really memorable long weekend at the Berwyn Arms. Our host, Sarah, and her team made sure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, they were always most thoughtful, helpful and obliging. The Berwyn Arms is a 17th Century gastro-pub and the food was truly excellent. The serving staff worked their socks off to keep the diners happy, always with a smile and concern for the little things. Our room was spot-on, and contained everything one needs for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable, and we had three nights of good and refreshing sleep. The bathroom was excellent, all toiletries being provided. The location is incredible, with views over the Dee Valley, which we took in whilst dining. In summary, everyone at the pub went above and beyond to make our long weekend comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you to Sarah and all staff at the Berwyn Arms, for a top-notch stay! We are already planning to be back next year.

Beautiful location private and tranquil.

Beautiful location private and tranquil. Facilities were good with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Outside fire pit and barbecue with outdoor picnic table and chairs for relaxing in. We will definitely be visiting again 5 star 😊

Corwen has only one large noisy cafe open on a Saturday...

Corwen has only one large noisy cafe open on a Saturday evening, plus one fish and chip shop and one kebab takeaway. The only restaurant, an Indian restaurant, was closed, even on the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend.

Myself, partner and Labrador stayed at Evelyn’s retreat for three nights. Perfect location for walking along the Llangollen canal. Lovely picturesque area, along the historic route through Llangollen. Great snacks, meals and drinks, and dog friendly at the corn mill in Llangollen, situated, next to the river Dee… The cabin with hot tub at Evelyn’s retreat in a lovely spot, again perfect with our dog. Lovely designed lodge, comfortable and welcoming, with everything we needed. Definitely would recommend…

We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Hotel. It's a historic and charming place, the rooms were warm and super clean, and the beds were super comfy. One of our bookings was the Studio Apartment and I was pleasantly surprised at how big both the rooms were and that they both had ensuites. Breakfast was nice and the staff are all very lovely and welcoming. Corwen itself is small and quiet but there are a few restaurant options for dinner and a lovely Estate and farm shop very nearby. Will definitely stay here again when visiting North Wales!

Lovely spacious, comfortable accommodation. Two ensuite bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space in the lounge and a secluded garden to sit in and read. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Appreciated the small food basket including local coffee and Welsh cakes left on arrival. House is walking distance to shops and Corwen museum. Had a good short break here enjoyed some lovely walks and a ride on the Llangollen railway.

The location of this lovely hotel is great. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious!! Comfortable bedroom with everything you could need for a short stay. Bonus - the hotel is dog friendly!
