Dal's service was exceptional. He was attentive to our needs and always cheerful and informative. It was convenient having the restaurant in the hotel where we had breakfast and dinner. Our meals were all very good. The hotel has a pleasant garden and is in a quiet location yet only a short walk to services in Burntisland, including a train station where you could catch a ride to Edinburgh. Parking is plentiful and free.

Fantastic Holiday with a Sea View and Perfect Comfort! Rating: 10/10 We had an unforgettable time at the 101a Pettycur Road apartment, and it was simply perfect! All our expectations were exceeded, and we are happy to recommend this property to anyone looking for coziness, cleanliness, and an excellent location. Location (9.2/10): The location is unbeatable! It’s only a two-minute walk to the lovely Pettycur Beach. Waking up to the beautiful sea view is a real treat. Plus, it is a very quiet and peaceful area where you can fully relax. The free parking was also a huge bonus. Facilities and Comfort (10/10): The apartment itself is a model of comfort and thoughtful design. Inside, we found an immaculately clean, cozy, and lovingly furnished little nest. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need—from a dishwasher to a washing machine—making the stay incredibly comfortable, just like being at home. The presence of a woodburning stove adds a special charm and warmth to the evenings. Staff/Host Care (10/10): We must specially mention the care and attention of the owners/hosts. They did everything to ensure our holiday was flawless. It is clear that they genuinely care about their guests. This is the ideal place for a family holiday, a romantic getaway, or just a reset by the sea. We will definitely be back here again! The best value for money.

The location is great, quiet but close to shopping, bars, food and places of interest. The hotel is unique, loved how the ships features have been incorporated to retain the authenticity. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made it feel special. Extra little touches are always appreciated and Fingal gets that just right. Food on board is excellent and highly recommended. Fabulous place to stay.

The view was fantastic and the location was brilliant to reach Edinburgh by car and also for access to the Highlands for day trips. The room was comfortable and I enjoyed the kettle with coffee/tea options in the room. The bathroom was modern and we felt very comfortable there. Had some great conversations with the staff too!

A very poor hotel choice.

A very poor hotel choice. No heating in room and extremely cold. No hot water. Very dangerous looking oil filled radiator in room which needed condemning. Food undercooked and expensive. Even manager said standards were very poor.

Very cozy small town.

Very cozy small town. Despite it's size, it has everything that is needed. Everything is accessible via a short walk. The area felt very safe. The beach was nice for a walk as well. Lots of people went there with their dogs in the morning and evening. It's easy to go from there to Edinburgh via train. The journey to Edinburgh Waverley took about 30-40 minutes.

amazing views across the Firth of Forth. beautiful village and amazing country side surrounding. the beach looked amazing though we did not get the weather to enjoy it but you can see the it is very safe as even at high tide the water is shallow a long way out. good restaurants and lovely village. We all loved it.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy. It turned out to be further away than we hoped (15 minutes drive) consequently we had little time to look round Burntisland but it seemed to offer little for a visitor in January. Hotel was a bit out of Burntisland and we took a walk in one morning but unfortunately the railway blocked the view and did not allow for walking along the beach

We stayed 6 nights in Burntisland, by the 3rd day, we felt like it was "our town". Everyone was so friendly. Once we told anyone that this was our first time in Scotland, they seemed eager to answer our questions and suggest little things make our visit more enjoyable. There are no chain restaurants or businesses in Burntisland. That (and the cheerful people) is what makes it such a charming town. The Links Fish and Chips was The BEST

Hotel and rooms are clean. Breakfast was very good, with a full vegetarian option. Younger staff members very friendly. Fully stocked bar at the pub downstairs. Nice bed linen and a good wee en suite bathroom with an electric shower. Although the other 3 rooms were occupied, it was very quiet on my mid week stay.
