Bognor Regis itself is a typical sea side town but does require some modernisation and a bit of TLC... however we stayed close to Aldwick which was lovely and easily accessible to the esplanade, the public transport links and the shops. A fabulous day spent at Pagham (caught the bus from Aldwick) and the nature reserve there is truly beautiful and well worth a visit.

Bognor is a fairly traditional seaside town.

Bognor is a fairly traditional seaside town. There is a large Butlins camp there but this does not dominate the town. There are a good selection of cafes etc and more practical shops in the town but it is a relatively quiet place - does not have the razzmatazz of Brighton which is why it appealed to us! The beach is pretty much all shingle rather than sand which may explain the quieter atmosphere.

Nice area, roads busy but you get that everywhere nowadays. Lovely little beachfront cafe just round the corner from the hotel serving excellent coffee, can walk into bognor along the seafront promenade.

We felt very welcome.

We felt very welcome. Bus drivers,people we asked for directions on the street,cafe and restaurant staff were all really helpful and friendly. The sea was calming and beautiful,though choppy on the day we arrived. Beaches were endless, and clean....we walked and walked. There were lovely Georgian buildings to see,some now hotels,some sadly neglected maybe from lack of funds. The pier could be developed wonderfully but is only partly accessible...again probably funding is not there. The town museum is a little gem! There is a really good Weather spoons with lots of inside space and an outside garden too.

I know the area very well as mother lived here for the last 30 years of her life. Felphams still fairly nice but sadly Bognor itself has become quite run down over the years. Would not spend much time in the town itself. Had to go in the evening for a function but would not choose to generally. Much nicer places around the area to go.

This hotel is in the perfect location-right on the beach and within walking distance of the village, as well as Bognor town. Our rooms were wonderful-clean, very comfy beds and super views to the sea. The breakfast was really good-wide choice to suit everyone and cooked to order. But the most praise should go to the staff who were very friendly-all of the receptionists were incredibly helpful and the cleaners did a great job. We will be back!

An oasis of calm in a gorgeous location. Donna was a truly warm and welcoming hostess. I was there to support a poorly family member but the room I stayed in would be perfect for a romantic getaway. The local area has lots of independent cafes worth trying and I would definitely recommend a stroll along the seafront en route to the Lobster Pot for lunch/tea/icecream.

This is a lovely little hotel, with pub and restaurant. Staff very friendly and a fab garden space. Good parking facilities. The place and rooms are "oldy worldy" which is in line with the hotel itself. It's a lovely little stay, great breakfast and not far from the coast. Easy to get to Littlehampton and Bognor Regis.

Our room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was good and waiters/waitresses were very pleasant. The hotel location was extremely good. We liked staying in a hotel on the seafront. Being able to park for free in front of the hotel main door was great, as I am disabled.
