I had been looking forward to visiting Clovelly and staying at the Red Lion for ages and after walking from Westward Ho! was a little tired but the service and the room made me quickly forget my aching body. I had an amazing room overlooking the harbour, a bath to soak in, nice dinner, lovely breakfast in a perfect location.

We absolutely loved our stay at Anchor Inn! It’s a lovely inn with a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor situated in the small but active village of Hartland. There seem to be many activities going on in Hartland and the people are absolutely friendly, gleeful and kind. We were there while the inn hosted a Spanish night with excellent live music and great food. Our room was bright, friendly and overlooking lush trees. The bed was very comfortable. Clean bathroom with good shower. The staff and owners were absolute gems. They even picked us up from Hartland Quay (as we were walking the South West Coast Path) and drove us back there the next morning. Don’t hesitate, book for an authentic experience!

Location was great. Room was comfortable. In spite of the inn being extremely short staffed we were well taken care of. Food was excellent. We stayed 3 nights and would stay there again.

Absolutely amazing accomodation surrounded by wonderful nature run by very kind hosts. Perfectly located for hiking the coast path or just relaxing. The hut has been designed with so many lovely details that we immediately felt like home. Sad that we had to leave after four nights… Thanks Anna!

Warm welcome from the hosts. Some lovely touches in the accommodation including fresh cut flowers, cream tea and even sparkling wine! The while experience was 5 star from beginning to end. Faultless in every respect. The underfloor heating system was wonderful on cold March nights. The bed was very comfortable and the attention to detail obvious in every room. Very quiet location with private and secure car parking and a safe area outside the cottage for the dog. Just perfect. Definitely a place to which we would return if available when we are next in North Cornwall.

Unexpectedly quiet, given the crowded bar in the afternoon. Perfect location for the SWCP. Food was excellent, including the spicy sweet potato soup, the included breakfast and the packed lunch. Room was comfortable; good shower. Staff were all friendly and efficient.
