FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

While it is true that there are many attractions and activities in Blackpool, it is sad to see so many areas of the town are very run down and after dark - even at 8.30 p.m. - the town centre felt rather unsafe. Excellent meal at LA BOTTEGA ,a small Italian restaurant. Always worth looking to see what is on at the Grand Theatre. Transport links from the hotel are brilliant.

This trip was around the end of the season (November), so there were a few places closed, but we still managed to visit Fleetwood market and the trams were still running. We also visited a few clubs and casino's.

Now having stayed in many cheap b&bs and hotels in Blackpool i know what to expect. This Hotel exceeded my expectations and was certainly the best one ive ever stayed at. It was in a great location for the pleasure beach, it was SPOTLESSLY clean. Had great facilities (washing machine dryer microwave and fridge etc in guest services room), breakfast was great. The staff couldn't do enough, very friendly and welcoming. Would 100% recommend and definitely be back in the future.

The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They go out of thier way to ensure a comfortable stay. Cheap and cheerful. Standard room with TV, shower and toilet. So close to everything you need, cafes, amusements, seafront, blackpool tower, high street. No curfews come and go as you please. Great lounge area when you're not in your room. Bar area. Smoking area. Thank you Sellina and family for an amazing stay. Would recommend 👌

Seafront hotel with added free parking which is rare in blackpool. Great 3 acts a night entertainment We was in room 54 we booked a double room but had 2 double beds wasnt expecting the room to be as big after reading reviews. Breakfast was good and tasty. we had b&b so on second night we had a snack at the bar was a sharing platter and was well worth 12.95 for 2.. Will 100% stay here again

The Highbury is the best ‘cheap cheap’ Blackpool hotel we have stayed at so far. £20 on a Saturday night is phenomenally good; including a basic cereal breakfast. Definitely going to aim for this place again if it’s available.
