We loved the location. An excellent point to access walks and driveable to coastlines and to the mountains. We also thought the cottage was super cosy almost like a home from home. We felt like we had privact which was important to us with having our dog with us. Everything we needed for our trip was present. We feel like it was a hidden gem and thought for 7 nights the price was extremly reasonable - noting that this was a November booking and out of season. The little porch way was excellent to ensure wet clothing/ muddy boots were kept away from carpets. Overall we left our week away happy and relaxed.

How we where made to feel at home as soon as we checked in. Our room was perfectly made and the room was at a good temperature. We have food and drinks in the Tanronnen inn and the service was fantastic our server went above and beyond. After a good nights sleep some fresh coffee from the coffee maker and a hot shower we ventured for breakfast which was included at the sister hotel just over the bridge. This was perfectly served and filled us for a day of walking. We will be back again soon!

Beddgelert is the perfect location for a long weekend getaway. The locals, without exception are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food and beer in the pubs is excellent. The views are stunning with the mountains and the walk along the river is a must do. For something more adventurous there is the walk up to the summit of Moel Hebog. We visited in December and it was still a busy destination for walkers without feeling bustling or crowded which was a bonus and it certainly provides peace and quiet in the perfect mountain setting. We left very happy and look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful location with charm.

Beautiful location with charm. Love the view of the river bridge with the stunning old stone buildings. Fantastic gift shop. Scenic views are second to none. Plenty of nice places to eat, would highly recommend the Royal Goat Hotel.

This is my favourite place in the UK.

This is my favourite place in the UK. As an enthusiast for preserved narrow gauge steam this beautiful valley with its railway running through dramatic scenery is just the best. There are great walks that start here in the village so it is a great base for a vacation. I try to stay here on every visit to North Wales.

The village was great but the Royal Goat Hotel was not worth...

The village was great but the Royal Goat Hotel was not worth the money. Staff were friendly and made up for the poor quality hotel but the food was terrible. chips where mostly black and naan bread was burnt and salad was smelly and slimey and the lamb rogan josh was very chewy and didn’t taste of anything. however i was poorly for 1 1/2 days afterwards. that night i was in the loo most of the night.

this is a fantastic part of north Wales, only 20 minutes drive to mount Snowden and 30 minutes drive to most popular activities in the area, there are a hand full of pubs and restaurants to choose from that all do food and you have one of the best ice cream shops in the uk to visit in beddgelert

A lovely village in the depths of Snowdonia.

A lovely village in the depths of Snowdonia. Accessible by bus (30 mins from Porthmadog) or heritage train from Porthmadog or Caernarfon. Choice of pubs offering food; also an ice cream parlour. Good village shop, but if you need a wider choice be prepared to drive elsewhere. Good choice of pub-hotels and self-catering accommodation.

Perfect location for the Watkin Path up Snowdon – just a couple of minutes walk down the road. The camping pod was clean and having a kettle was handy. Nice seating spot outside the pods where we cooked our breakfast (need to take your own camping stove, though). Shower was great too! Beddgelert is a 5 minute drive away for some good places to eat and pubs.

The property is a perfect base for walkers. Smack bang in the middle of Beddgelert at the start of some brilliant walks. The flat has everything needed to unwind after. Great facilities including a useful kitchen and a coffee machine that made our mornings. Lots of entertainment packages on TVs for evening film time. Owners were very attentive.

This family run hotel was superb from start to Finnish, our room was spotless, as was the hotel and restaurant.the meals and breakfast were fantastic, lovely bar area and comfortable surroundings garden well kept and manicured, the family team couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable, we will definitely return ASAP.
