We stayed at this property for 7 nights and had a truly enjoyable experience. The house was immaculately clean throughout, which made it feel very comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while still being in a peaceful setting, every room having its own TV’s available to use. The owner was a wonderful lady, extremely kind and attentive, which added a personal touch to our stay. The property itself was thoughtfully set up for families, with a selection of board games that kept the children entertained, and the outdoor seating area was beautifully arranged, offering a relaxing space to unwind at any time of the day.

Our host, Graeme, went above and beyond to make our stay both comfortable and memorable. He even picked us up from the neighbouring town when we found ourselves stranded there (no bus, no taxi)! This was just one of several outstanding gestures that we deeply appreciated. Our meals were delicious and prepared thoughtfully. The chef is highly regarded in town and keeps the restaurant busy. The view from our room was spectacular! Big windows face the green and the Solway firth...really lovely sunsets.

We went to this area for a marathon which was on the Solway...

We went to this area for a marathon which was on the Solway coast. We climbed a mountain, walked along the beach, visited Wordsworth's house, walked around interesting towns like Cocker mouth and drove down to Ulverston. We enjoyed the laurel and hardy museum and have alot more to see next time we visit the area. Driving was easy but everything takes a little longer. Would be a great place to cycle.
