I originally booked a courtyard room but decided to upgrade to a sea view room, we got one on the 2nd floor. We were greeted by the reception staff who told us about a few things like where the restaurant was. On entering our room I was very surprised by the size, it had double aspect windows one to a courtyard the other to a panoramic view of Douglas bay. The room itself was of superior quality, mood lighting to bedroom and bathroom, a sofa in the window, 2 armchairs facing the TV. Complimentary soft drinks, crisps and chocolate in the fridge, even a corkscrew next to the kettle. There was even 2 dressing gowns and slippers in the wardrobe. The breakfast was included as was cereals and continental breakfast and full hot breakfasts. You can also book an evening meal in their restaurant and they have a bar for drinks. Excellent friendly service from all the staff too. Brilliant location also close to shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely be booking here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tasty kippers plus cold fruits and cereals are fabulous. We loved the bar and restaurant too. Extremely friendly and helpful staff including the owner's family. Big thank you to you all. did nt do much in ballasalla spent time in douglas castletown port erin & peel The island towns are well connected by bus vannin & also the island has excellent heritage the tramway from douglas to ramsey & railway from douglas to port erin! A trip to the sound for the view & bracing sea air is reccomended

As a central location for access to local bus routes or car...

As a central location for access to local bus routes or car hire access it’s great. There is the noise from the airport when it starts it’s day but nothing to disturb a good nights sleep. Ballasalla itself has a local pub and takeaway for local meals. Further north is the capital Douglas or south to the beaches of Port Erin and Port stMary all within 20 minutes drive. To the west up into the hills and Glens to the east Castletown with its own historic castle a town centre wrapped around the harbour . It’s just all so easy.

Been told by my first visit to reception the hotel had run...

Been told by my first visit to reception the hotel had run out of food! I have never heard such rubbish… On my last day, I got a full in English breakfast… It was fantastic… The only day I ate anything there! Hi, felt sorry for the manageress… God knows what pressure she has to work under? I felt so pleased for her when she could actually offered me a breakfast. She was a different girl totally, and I felt sorry for her… It was a great breakfast… Bless her…

The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns...

The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns but inside was a disappointment. The 3 bed deluxe was not large enough for a wheelchair user. The bathroom & toilet was down the corridor and the kitchen was shared and not kept clean. Eathing out nearby was poor - only 1 pub with a very limited menu.

This is a nice quiet hotel opposite iom airport. The rooms are nice and parking is good and free. There are a selection of meals available and some lager, cider, wine etc. The menu is not big but has pizza, lasagne, curry etc Staff are helpful

For a friday night the hotel was very very quiet, quick check in process, breakfast was spot on and quick for our early flight back home. Would stay here again.
