We had a wonderful stay at the H Boutique Hotel in Bakewell. The staff was absolutely lovely — attentive, kind, and always willing to help so we could explore the area with peace of mind. A special thank you to David, who was incredibly kind — it was a real pleasure to have such a nice conversation with him. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back!

The town is very laid back, relaxed and full of friendly people. there are many events throughout the year, street markets, farmers markets, and the town looks fantastic when decorated for Christmas! It's also full of history and prides itself on maintaining it's buildings with the architectural charms of long ago. No one can be disappointed with the views that the bridges and riverside walks provide, these also provide great meeting and relaxing places that the public embrace regularly. Come and visit, you won't be disappointed!

Bakewell is a walkable town nestled in the Derbyshire hills. Many old buildings, nice shops including a variety of places to eat ,coffee shops and more .a good base for visiting Chatsworth /other properties and walking breaks. In the evening plenty of choices for a meal , I highly recommend The Castle Inn Bakewell for an evening meal.

Location was really good we know Bakewell quite well so really familiar with the area, because we stayed in Bakewell it allowed us to take advantage of pubs and restaurants without having to drive home. We were a party of six and Millstream mews was ideal. Apart from a few teething troubles such as sofas too low and big and other comments made earlier it was a fab place to stay and we all would stay again.

Very pretty village even in bad weather. We ate at the Indian and the Woodyard - both excellent meals and highly recomended. We visited for the Christmas Market - the stalls were really expensive, though I suppose they always are. I would recommend going at another time when not so busy.

Tuesday, when we arrived, everything is closed in the evening. We couldn't find a restaurant to eat in, a lot of the pubs were closed early as it was late in the season, the ones open were full. Beautiful place though, loved it. It seemed a very safe place to wander about and everyone was very friendly. My daughter and I looked like the only ones without at least one dog. Try Bakewell pudding.

The Cottage, whilst being very old, was perfectly clean & decorated to a good standard. The Beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. Everything was provided, the quality of the appliances was excellent in the kitchen, which ensures you have everything you need for a self catering stay. The welcome pack was very good. The smart TV & internet worked well. The cottage was exactly as described & provided quality, good value for money. The location was good with a short (up & down hill) to the town centre of Bakewell.

Great location, just up the road the centre of Bakewell and only around 10 minutes the other side from the local Bakewell brewery, which hosts family activities and serves great pizza. Lovely facilities to make a meal or enjoy a coffee and breakfast before heading out (but also very close to a great café - Lead Tin Yellow). Even though it’s on a main road, it’s very quiet inside and it doesn’t disturb a peaceful night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. Overall, a great place to stay in Bakewell!

Very elegant hotel/guest house with a lot of character in the centre of Bakewell. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very professional and courteous. Restaurant and bar were very nice areas with a great selection of food and drink. The breakfasts were very good, with both cooked options, and continental options, if you wanted something lighter. Location was very well placed for visiting the surrounding area. Bakewell itself was also a lovely town.
