Great en-suite room with microwave and kettle for your basic needs. Dog friendly! Independent entryway. The owner Rachael was very friendly and welcoming. The room is exactly what you see in the photos. Nice quite location: 1min walk from Avoch waterfront, less than 20min drive from Inverness and Dingwall, which will have all the facilities you may need: shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. Nearby, there's also a small co-op at the top of the street (3min walk from the room) and a lovely Indian take-away (Gaby's). Parking available a minute away from the room. Bedding and towels provided.

Very comfortable and ample choices for breakfast including gluten free and dairy free options. Our initial room had a bathroom issue, and the staff were more than happy to move us to another room. Was close enough to everything we wanted to do, so we were very happy.

A very friendly welcome awaited me on my arrival late at the hotel. Despite the fact that the kitchen had already closed for dinner, it was reopened to prepare a meal for me. This was to be emblematic of the hotel. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. It is a family owned and run hotel and that makes a difference. In addition the food was very good and clearly I was not the only one who thought so as the restaurant was full every night! Finally, the location right on the water front could not have been nicer. Highly recommended if you are visiting the Highlands.

The village was clean and tidy and there is everything you...

The village was clean and tidy and there is everything you need on your doorstep.We found the people really helpful and friendly.There is a lot too see and some great walks for all ages.We spent a lot of time on the beach and down at the harbour.We would recommend the Chinese takeaway it was really good and worth every penny.There is a lovely swing park for the kids with something for all ages.Avoch is easy to get round as everything is at hand,it is a great place and the scenery is spectacular.

It's a beautiful village.

It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.

Avoch is absolutely not worth it.

Avoch is absolutely not worth it. We didn't specifically go for this village, but somewhere within driving distance of Inverness. That was fine, but Avoch itself... is really nothing special. Nearby Fortrose & Rosemarkie are much more pleasant.

The cottage was delightful - it was very clean, well equipped , modern kitchen, comfortable beds and in an excellent location. Parking practically outside the front door. Although Avoch is small, there are lovely take-away restaurants and a cafe within less than five mins walking distance. The owners are really lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Everything you need on a holiday.

Great location, right on the waterfront. Fantastic views. Good location for travelling around Black Isle and Inverness area. Really liked Avoch as a village - interesting place to walk around and good facilities close by. Host provided plenty of information although it took us a little while to work out the TV.
