This hotel was a wonderful discovery. It is an old coaching inn built in the 1600s and it has been beautifully decorated and is run by the owner and two other middle aged ladies and they run the place like a well oiled machine. We were very impressed. Food was the best food we had during a week in Scotland. We highly recommend this hotel.

I liked the facilities, cleanliness, friendly receptionist (i.e., Carole), sparkling-clean toilets, wood for the fireplace, utensils, access to the kitchen and shower, and, most importantly, the electric blankets were amazing.

The cabin was incredibly charming: cosy, well-equipped, and beautifully set against a peaceful countryside backdrop. Tony was the heart of the experience: warm, thoughtful, and full of character. He paid close attention to every detail, from the room setup to offering coffee and tea, and preparing delicious breakfasts each morning, which we enjoyed while looking out at the fields (with cows!). The use of a kitchen gave us added flexibility, and Tony’s conversation made us feel right at home. Every element of this stay was heartfelt and idyllic.

Traveled by motorbike. The approach from either direction is fantastic. My host Moira was welcoming and very easy to chat to. My room was cosy, comfortable bed and great bathroom fully stocked. Lovely teas and biscuits in the room. The views were great. The breakfast was both plentiful and cooked lovely. I believe the host does a lot to make any persons stay enjoyable.

It was so quiet. The beds were comfortable and the lodge was lovely and clean. The was complementary tea, coffee and milk sachets on arrival. The lodge was very well equipped.
