I could not fault the hotel. The room was finished to a high standard, they had a private living room to sit in if you wanted to. food was excellent, staff were helpful and always available, grounds were beautiful. So many options to sit inside and outside. A real gem

Great night stay in a clean and tidy room. The little extras in the room were a treat. Bottles of water with a range of biscuits to go with my tea. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. My dinner was delicious. One of the best burgers I had in a long time. It was cooked fresh. It was cosy and warm sitting near the log burner in the winter months. There was a great atmosphere and the owners are very friendly and met all our requests.

The house was very comfortable, and the bedrooms and beds were of nice quality. The small garden and very nicely shaped kitchen also made you feel at home. The owner was also very responsive and kind. Living next door, we did not have a chance to talk. The house is also very dog-friendly. We have and love dogs, but unfortunately, he was not with us on this trip.

Lovely unusual 2 storey accommodation, a converted double garage. well maintained , spotless and the owners had thought of virtually everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Quality, quality and more quality. A very pleasant 2 night stay. Nikki very kind and extremely helpful.

We wanted a convenient stop mid way between two places so chose Blue Boar because of the great reviews. The large, super clean room, terrific breakfast and lovely staff made our stay beyond expectations and dinner in restaurant was tasty with a good variety on the menu. Parking was also easy. We will definitely stay here again.

A quaint and friendly village with wonderful walks in the nature reserve along the river. Shopping facilities were great although most shops were small but had a great variety. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was OK. The check in and out was easy, staff very friendly and helpful. I had an evening meal and breakfast in the pub restaurant, reasonably priced and food good. Altho the pub was noisy and lively the noise didn't travel to the bedroom areas. I didn't see much of the area as it was just an overnight stay but I would go back again. Yes the furbishing's were a little dated, but the staff were lovely, the place was clean and comfortable, and the food good which is the way I prefer it.

It is a perfect location for getting to Stratford Upon Avon.

It is a perfect location for getting to Stratford Upon Avon. Do not miss Bidford Upon Avon which is a short drive from Alcester and boasts 'The Big Meadow', which is excellent for dog walks and has great recreational area for children. Nice local Village tea room as well.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a lovely ambience with a place to sit both before and after the meal. I was disappointed to find no information in the room relating to wifi or breakfast times. Consequently we were late for breakfast but we were still served. There was a music duo playing which apparently happens once a fortnight on a Friday. I would definitely reccomend this place.

Its not the ritz, its a fabulous fun hotel for normal folk wanting great value and great food. The staff care, they help, they want you to be happy. Great hotel/pub/restaurant/party venue, give it a go.

I stayed at the Roebuck Alcester and I would not again. The chef George was very nice to me when I arrived after check-in hours due to a train delay. However, the staff member I spoke to prior to arrival was rather curt and rude on the phone.

Looked good online and reviews were generally positive. We like staying in smaller pub-type accommodation rather than chain hotels. It was close enough to Stratford for us.
