Beautiful house finished to an exceptionally high standard. Had that “new home” smell. We also had a balcony which we weren’t expecting and had lovely views over the Tay. The bottle of wine chilling in the fridge on arrival was an added touch! There are games and DVDs in the house which we took advantage of. The location is fantastic, you’re a 2m drive from the nearest shop/ restaurants/ pub.

We picked a good time to go with all the autumn colours.

We picked a good time to go with all the autumn colours. Birks of Aberfeldy is local to the hotel and was a lovely walk up the gorge with plenty of falls. We also walked into Aberfeldy and had food at one of the many cafes. I used the hotels swimming pool too. There is also a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

lovely location, great for walks, relaxing, we also went to Pitlochry and Dunkeld. Good for a mix. Outdoor wise great, limited for children if not into the outdoors unless you link it with other places. We had a 6, 11 and 13 year old and all had a nice time. Depends on what your looking for, if you like outdoors its beautiful. Birks is wonderful and free.

A small quiet town but where you can find all you need...

A small quiet town but where you can find all you need within walking distance. From there we had the chance to visit on foot, the Dewars Aberfeldy whisky distillery, which was very convenient. There was a good choice of restaurants too.

The reason for my trip to Aberfeldy was to visit the Fortingall Yew. I appreciate that there is a bus service from Aberfeldy to Fortingall. The bus driver was very kind and reassuring that he would be back around to pick me up.

The Aberfeldy town is wonderful, a lot of places and nature to explore, just the hotel where we stayed as under the expectation ( the pictures were nice but when we arrived there was horrible, the hotel needed a renovation urgently)

A great variety of boutique shops, butcher, baker, cafe's and a couple of pubs. We ate at the Blackwatch Inn for reasonably priced food, it helps if you have a very healthy appetite the portion sizes are large. There is a lovely walk to the falls at the Birks of Aberfeldy, the paths are good but a reasonable fitness level is required.

The cottage is perfectly located close to the entry in Aberfeldy, 3 min walk from the grocery shop, 10 min walk from a golf field, 5 min walk from an adventure organizer (rafting, canyoning), 15 min walk distance from Dewer whiskey distillery and having lots of good restaurants around. Free parking space in front. It was clean and spacious and provided us with everything we needed. Easy pick up and drop off of the key from the hotel bar on the opposite street. Very friendly and professional staff.

Had a lovely room on the top floor with very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was amazing - one of the best I’ve had in many years! We opted for the full cooked version which included everything. Lots of other cooked options were also available as well as more continental choices. All the staff in the hotel were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When we go back to Aberfeldy we will definitely stay here ! Great value for money too

The location of the hotel was great for local sightseeing and walking and handy for going further afield to explore. We had booked dinner, bed and breakfast which took the hassle out of finding places to eat. All meals were tasty and well presented. All staff from reception to bar and all other areas were very helpful without being intrusive. We would book this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Lovely hotel I'm the heart of Aberfeldy. Lively bar, free parking across the road from hotel. Delicious breakfast.
