NaturalB&B is one of the best Bed and Breakfasts I have ever stayed in. As an older woman traveling alone it is often difficult to find a place that is clean, convenient and safe. Philippe's accommodations are above excellent. The neighbourhood is a quiet residential area within walking distance of shops, cafes and the Parc de la Tête d'Or. The room was well appointed and very clean. Philippe has thought of everything to make the stay easy, even down to the electric extension cubes with connector cords for electronic devices. The kitchen, toilet and shower room had everything I could possibly need. The breakfast was more than adequate, including his own home made chocolate mousse and pleasant and informative conversation. I highly recommend NaturalB&B to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe, quiet, friendly, homelike experience.

Lyon is a nice city with a town mentality (a good thing).

Lyon is a nice city with a town mentality (a good thing). Green areas within walking distance. Pleasant parks and public gardens without crowds. Lots of drinking water fountains. MAC (museum of contemporary art) is really worth visiting. The city centre is a bit crowded but that's nothing compared to overwhelming Paris. Regarding the Villeurbanne itself, river banks are green, no beaches, waffle booths or "tourists" with portable speakers near the river. The streets are mostly empty, though singing and shouting students sometimes appear. A nice quiet district in my opinion. Unfortunately not many food options, you need to go to Lyon centre for something more fancy than student's dinner.

The street this apartment is on is a dead-end, poorly-lit, private street that does not appear on some maps, so it can be very hard to find. The apartment building itself on the street was tricky to find because the street addresses were not consecutive. The door to the apartment was on the ground floor, but once inside the apartment, you had to go up a steep, rickety flight of stairs to get to the apartment itself, which was on the next floor. The apartment is described as a 2-bedroom, but it is not; it is rather a large space with two beds in different, open sections of the apartment, so no privacy at all. Very few electrical outlets and poor lighting. Not particularly clean. The wifi didn't work and when I texted the host about it, he was unhelpful/indifferent. After I left, the host tried to charge me 800 euro for supposedly damaging the television/monitor; when in fact I neither used nor touched the television/monitor the whole time I was there. Very unpleasant. All in all, not a great place to stay. Lyon is a big city so find another accommodation.

on the website are just not true: no WiFi (I don't know who put 10 in their rating; the cousin of the owner?) and they blame Booking because it hasn't been removed; of the four chairs only two are ok, the others are not screwed, be careful you will fall!!!! the doors do not close properly, no privacy especially with the bathroom; flat without elevator; minimal cleaning, we slept without pillowcases because they were dirty and the owner only turned the sheets and the covers of the duvets!!! incredible!!!! the sofa is the dirtiest I have ever seen in my life!!! there is no wardrobe for clothes; they only gave us a large towel and a small towel for two people; Regarding pets, if you don't have them, nothing happens, the house provides them to you. Anf of course, they have not responded to our complaints and requests. The photos on the Booking page are not accurate, if the owner says otherwise I will upload the real photos of the place (I don't know if he wants me to do so; I have a complete set of them). But I have to say that Booking has just washed their hands and did nothing at all; we informed them of the whole situation and the answer was: sorry, speak to the owner; Hey!!! the owner don´t answer our questions!!!! Booking has to assume the responsibility to take on board the lies and disrespect of those who rent their flats and should help the users by putting pressure on the owners. Disappointing behaviour by Booking, when we warned of problems. To cancel the account. By the way, we have removed the covers and left the sheets on the floor, in case the owner washes them and the next client has luck with the stay. What would I recommend Villeurbanne for? nothing at all!!!! wanted to say something else, but I'll try to be nice and polite.

A perfect location for visiting the main hospital in Lyon, a 10 minute walk although with lots of steps. Artisan boulangerie 5 minutes walk. Lidl 10 minutes walk for basic provisions. A couple of restaurants nearby.

It is a high rise, high density inner city accommodation area with all the problems you would expect. The people we met however were lovely and friendly and the market held every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday had some great produce.

The place was big enough for our family, quiet and sparkling clean. The free parking was great because we wanted to use public transport to get around the city so we left the car in the parking during the whole stay. The communication with the hosts was great although it was weekend. Would certainly like to stay there again next time when we stop by Lyon.
