The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly & prepared a wonderful breakfast for us with fresh local strawberries, fresh goats' cheese & homemade fruit jams and pastries. The best thing though was hands down the hot tub! We spent a wonderful evening in the hot tub enjoying the evening as the sun set.

La Maison Josnes de Mady is absolutely beautiful! Our hosts were incredibly accommodating and amazing, even waiting up for us on our late midnight arrival. The rooms are stunning and large, and a lot of thought and care has gone into very little detail. Breakfast was delicious with locally produced items. Highly recommended!

Welcome was very good from John Lewis. Homemade cherry pie. Standard of accommodation and the layout was perfect, full kitchen and supermarket 8 mins away, HyperU. Also ideal for more than a 1 night stayover to explore. Would have liked more time to stay at this property but ran out of time on our road trip around france Garden to sit in, secure parking for our motorbike. Fresh laid eggs for our breakfast along with usual continental breakfast items. Charlie the little yorkie was so sweet Would recommend a stay here

This is an exceptional place. We stayed on our way back from southwest France to Belgium, I selected it as it had great ratings and was on halfway our journey. Now let me tell you this: the pictures on the website do not do justice to the venue - it is much, MUCH better. The owners and staff were all fantastic. Breakfast was superb, as well as the lounge area for drinks (especially enjoying the cracks of the fireplace while listening to some nice jazz record). Our room was spacious, comfortable and charming, and I truly regret arriving too late to miss dinner. In a nutshell: you would rarely find a more beautiful, comfortable place. Not only in the area, just generally. My total respect for the humongous work of the owners, you rarely see such a level of sophistication in the hospitality service. I can’t wait to come back.

Everything. This is a beautiful old-established hotel in the centre of a lovely small mediaeval town. It has off-road parking, a very decent open-air swimming pool, friendly staff, comfortable and characterful rooms, quiet location and one of the best French hotel breakfasts ever. We will be back!

We’d not really taken in before arriving that the hotel is in the old abbey buildings so steeped in history. You go up a magnificent stone staircase to the rooms and the building has not lost its character. The bedroom was very comfortable and there was also a cosy sitting area downstairs. Breakfast was really nice with lots of options - the apple tart was lovely!

Conveniently placed in a lovely old medieval town. We travel through here on motorcycles and there is secure locked parking available, extremely important when bikes are loaded with equipment. On first name terms with the owners who speak excellent English.
