The hotel is rather grand in appearance, and inside it is also very grand-looking. Built in the late 1800's and very well appointed. The gentleman who checked us it was fantastic, and also doubled as the barman when we asked for a beer before it was really beer o'clock. There was a covered garage to park the motorcycles, and the surrounding gardens were very lovely. It was too cold and wet (late June!) to fully appreciate them. The town is busy and has many restaurants and shops. Primarily a skiing resort, the town seems to close quite early in the summer, and we found the restaurant we had selected had already closed when we got there (this is not mentioned as a reflection on the hotel, but as a guide for fellow travellers). The hotel was very comfortable.

the very warm welcome and pre arrival correspondence. The diner was incredible, we never expected to have such exiting and excellent food up in a small ski station. Good selection of wine but it was the menu (and this was apparently a quiet night so limited choice of (only!!) 3 for each course, starter, main and desert) - we were both blown away by the food and actually unable to eat it all, shouldn't have pigged out on the apero and nibbles before hand. great setting, view and location, looking out on what would be pistes, good doors to the balcony, locking out cold and noise (unusual in even the most expensive ski resort hotels). Kettle in the room for beverages

This is the perfect spot to be to slow things down and enjoy your stay. We stayed here because of its proximity to the mountains and being out of Grenoble. Drive up a rising road to the building with the "HOTEL" sign on top only a few minutes from town. Close to a lovely bakery, grocery store, and laundromat. The breakfast was typical Euro style but the dinner that they are capable of every night was excellent. I can see why it's an attraction that people flock to in the area for. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The location was excellent - easy to get into Grenoble by public transport. The staff were exceptionally helpful and appeared very happy. They did seem quite short staffed - particularly in the restaurant but they were efficient and never complained!

This is a pretty little place in a quiet village underneath some beautiful mountains. This is definitely a nicer suburb of Grenoble with a lovely daytime restaurant just outside and only 1.6K to a great supermarket.
