Comfy, cosy, authentic country gîte. Excellent value, everything one needs and wonderful for dogs. It was perfect for me, simple and charming. Not bling bling. Great hostess—thank you for the fresh flowers and bottle of rose! More space than I imagined, in two floors in a separate stone cottage with private access for the car. Too cold for the pool but it looks lovely!

We stayed 4 days late September at the Domaine Walbaum and wished we'd booked a week or more. It's one of the loveliest places I have stayed at. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Always available to help you and very respectful of your privacy. We felt at home almost instantly. The villa is beautifully renovated and has a lot of charm. Situated only minutes away from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc in a lavish domain, it is quiet and peaceful. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed the terrasse as well as the pool and desk chairs. The room was very comfortable, and had all the amenities you can wish for. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and everything functioned perfectly. The walk-in shower was large and the water pressure was excellent. If you enjoy wine, you should taste the domaine's selection, they are excellent. The restaurant was closed for the season, but the owners provided us with a list of recommendations in the area. Beware that many places tend to close for the season between the end of September and October. Breakfast was lavish, composed of fresh dairies, a selection of bread and home made cakes (some gluten and/or lactose free), fruit, and home made jam, marmelades and the local honey is amazing. The river Ardèche is only minutes away and follows the property on 2 Km. It's perfectly located to explore the south of Ardèche, to go hicking in the Gorges de l'Ardèche - or canoeing for that matter. The Domaine Walbaum is a rare gem, the kind you only share with your closest friends.

The couple who owned the place were really friendly. They gave us great advice and organised our kayaktrip. This was the same value as the ones in town and even better with hotel pickup and drop off after our kayaking adventure without extra charge. This was an extra service. We could also buy a picnic at our hotel which was delivered in a handy package with ice elements to keep it cool. Lunch was great as well. Breakfast had nice coffee, little croissants, pain au chocolate, baguettes etc. It wasn't overly big but just what we needed. The place was clean and had a lovely swimming pool. Next time we will book directly through them. I advise you to do the same. The hotel is very close to the centre and has a big parking. We enjoyed our stay.

Room....good, comfortable clean. Hotel is characterful and what you would expect from converted 'Couvent' Breakfast.....more than acceptable. Straightforward fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt , cereals, eggs etc... and all both coffee filter and bullet machines available. very nice breakfast terrace. Restaurant. yes very nice and good cooking. The stuffed breast of chicken very good, . good service and friendly, also convenient. Pool...very nice and excellent friendly staff on pool bar duty. All in all great for a family....

The place was amazing, the bedroom, the swimming pool and the staff. The staff was helpful, welcoming and so nice. We stayed in the premium garden room, it was an excellent room, with sunbeds with a terrace looking at the big garden. It is a lovely place, we were really surprised in a good place. That bedroom and the accomodities were worth a 5-star hotel.

A modest size hotel with gorgeous French furniture. Our family room was absolutely perfect with actual beds (not sofa beds) for our children. Beautiful glass doors onto our own small patio with path to the outdoor pool where we enjoyed a swim as the sunset.

The hotel was absolutely brilliant in a beautiful setting. Special mention to the pool that is simply gigantic and the terrace in the patio of the convent that is the perfect setting for the evening dinner. Highly recommended
