The room is big and clean. The hosts are so kind and nice. They have lovely animals like horses, chicken, goats, and a cat, so my son was very happy to see them. They also offer wifi, car parking for free, and the information of not only Saint-Cirq-Lapopie but also neighbor area! We went there last week and had a great time. Beautiful room and terrace opening on to vineyard, with view across to Saint Cirq la Popie. Perfect 4 day stay spent relaxing by the pool, in the vineyard, or day tripping. Great breakfast on terrace, and superb restaurant 100m down the road. Would go back anytime - can't recommend this place highly enough.

Pros: breath taking beauty, calming nature, lots of great hikes and food. When we were at hotel or just walking around the nature I felt so at peace Cons: as Americans we were made to feel extremely unwelcome in many establishments. I speak a little bit of French, but have a hard time understanding fast speech. We were mocked multiple times when people thought we couldn’t understand them. When we asked for help in various situations we were greeted with hostility or laughed at and ignored. So maybe skip this area if you don’t feel comfortable in your French speaking abilities.

There's a lot to see around St.

There's a lot to see around St. Cirq... but most require booking in advance: if you want to visit the Pech Merle cave, book ahead of time. The same goes for the Collonges-la-Rouge phosphate mines; they're a little over an hour's drive away, but there are many small villages and viewpoints worth visiting along the way.

A small town ideally located at the foot of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Superb walks to be had along the Lot River. Small restaurants within easy reach, no need for a car. A small supermarket is also available if needed. The view from the hotel is magnificent, a true delight for peaceful relaxation on the terrace by the pool.

The beauty of the region, the villages steeped in history: a magnificent region to visit even off-season, as we chose. Visits away from the summer crowds are a real plus for travelers seeking peace and quiet; it's a shame that tourism professionals don't seem to appreciate this more. The only downside: many restaurants and shops were closed, which was a pity.

The location is perfect, the hotel is amazingly placed and is very welcoming, the staff is great, the food is so tasty, everything is so authentic, people are putting their heart in everything they offer you. The spa is also so good, it’s very clean and spacious for everyone in the hotel, and the massage was one of the best I have ever had. Astrid has magical hands, she’s an expert at what she does, she is very respectful and is at the disposal of the client. All in all a wonderful experience ! I recommend it highly !

Nice, small hotel. Room where very clean. Big parking. Good internet conection. Nice staff. Quite nice pool. Great surronding. Plage nearby. Supermarket nearby and few good restaurants. You can reach lapopie by foot. Good point to stay and visit masive centrale.

Hôtel Les Gabarres is a functional and comfortable hotel, though rather expensive for what it is. It seems to be benefiting from the lack of competition. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly.
